Lionheart Lear24b update!
FSX/P3D. As many of you know, I first broke this news back on Sep 3rd. Lionheart, like Carenado is into the jet age! As Lionheart's second jet, this time, Bill has decided to take things back. Way back to the classics! I remember when I first fell in love with the Learjet. It was from my second favorite film of the 80's called Dragnet which was a parody of the classic television series starring Dan Aykroyd and Tom Hanks. I highly respect Bill and his work and i'm really looking forward to taking this baby up! Bill is also releasing a new build or the Avelina!

Razbam is all over P3D 2.0!
P3D. And so is the upcoming Metroliner! But what I didn't know is, the Metroliner is actually a native P3D 2.0 model and is not a FSX backwards compatible model. When I conduct my first review of this aircraft it will be in 2.0 and just might be my very first 2.0 fully native aircraft review. I'll be here to help answer any questions and hopefully address any concerns any of you might have regarding P3D 2.0. We are in contact with the lead developer at Lockheed Martin and should have some nice info coming up on ADX in the coming days.

Metal2Mesh is all over P3D 2.0!
P3D. Developers are still coming forward in support of P3D 2.0. The latest is from Metal2Mesh! So the question remains: are YOU onboard? Hopefully, I will be able to keep both versions of P3D installed on my system. The last thing I need is to go through a complete uninstall. As we all know how painful that process can be, I would be left without the ability to get things done during the new install so fingers crossed... Hopefully the new SSD will keep things separate. And yes, I highly recommend you run P3D on a SSD.

Aerosoft / Digital Aviation CRJ. Not this year.
FSX/P3D. I think we all were hopeful that the digital aviation CRJ would finally make it's debut this year after nearly 4 years of waiting. Sadly, Santa will not deliver on this one. But this is not bad news. According to Mathajs Kok, it was not actually slated for release this year anyway and development is on track for P3D 2.0. When can we expect release? It looks like a late Jan early Feb deal. See Mathijs' full statement on the CRJ's progress. Thanks to Lars Nielsen for the tipoff!

Next from ADX: T2G MCO in P3D!
P3D. I am barely onto the screenshot stage and I just can't help how impressed I am with the work Taxi2Gate has done here. I just spent an hour flying around and testing various aircraft with it. Performance and frames are good! Stay tuned to the ADX FirstLook. Till now here is a little shot, (the first published non product page shot) so you can get a full idea directly from me just how good the quality is here. Stick with us!

Taxi2Gate KMCO released!
FSX. The long awaited Taxi2Gate rendition of KMCO is finally available for your own virtual flying pleasure. D'Andre, contain yourself! Ok, joking aside, T2G's recent upward trend makes this release very exciting indeed and I don't have to tell you how long we've waited for a good KMCO replacement for the old Cloud9 product. Count on an ADX first look soon but I highly recommend heading over to SimMarket and grabbing a digital copy for yourself!

Prepar3D V2.0 Dynamic Shadows
FSX/P3D. One of the most highly respected FSX/P3D developers, Mir, from Flightbeam Studios has just put a 90 sec. video up on YouTube to demonstrate just how cool the new dynamic shadows are in the upcoming P3D 2.0. This really looks spectacular!

Bombardier Challenger VC update!
FSX. Of many of the developer showcase projects we see come and go on FSDeveloper, many tend to have a beginning and middle, but no end. This Challenger project by Ozzman is deffo showing some serious progress. Like many other aircraft on FSD that never come to fruition, I had the skepticism on the early renders. But after following this project over the last several months including the latest the virtual cockpit, again: I'm impressed! Great render work and looking forward to the texturing process to come. She will look very nice in your hangar next to your Carenado Phenom! Note to the developer: You are doing a great job here.

Aerosoft Twotter100. New shots!
FSX/P3D. The Aerosoft Twin Otter Extended was in my opinion one of the very best aircraft releases of 2013 and it's not done yet! The 100 variant is still in development and should be rapping on the door before the Christmas tree arrived. Christmas is about giving and the the Twotter has been continuously giving since it's first release earlier this year. Here is the latest. She looks good!

Aerosoft Airbus X A318/A319 preview!
FSX/P3D. If a picture is worth a thousand words than that will really have to be the case here because all we have is 1 shot and there is no way I am writing a thousand words on it. But as previews go, we will take all we can get and as such, here is a new shot of the Aerosoft Airbus X A318/A319 posted in the Aerosoft forum a few days ago in case you missed it. Well, I missed it...

FlightBeam is all over P3D 2.0!
P3D. As we get even closer to the release of P3D 2.0, developers are coming out in support of what is likely, finally, a proper replacement of FSX. Naturally, the enhancements of P3D 2.0 should have been explored and implimented by Microsoft years ago. But instead, as they always have done, they chose to develop an all new platform instead. We were very impressed by "Flight" and its features, but slowly, the snakes started to fall out of the trees and Flight crashed. Crashed hard too. But by no fault of the developers. Microsoft screwed the pooch on that one. So instead of getting an FSX replacement, we are finally getting the FSX improvements that never came. Here is FlightBeam showing off their shots! Oh, and least anyone think ADX is doing a little overkill of the P3D 2.0 coverage, think about it, this thing is saving our hobby. Is there a such thing as overkill in this case?

Milviz 350i. It's FS and it's very real!
FSX/P3D. Oddly enough, most of my VFR flying is done by day and that is mostly because it's VFR flying. Many of the airfields I fly into don't operate after dusk anyway. But if there's one development team looking to change my modus operandi, it's Milviz. With the advent of the new night lighting system techniques the team is implementing in the upcoming 407 and 350i, it appears, not flying these babies at night would be a total waste of the talent that went into this work. It does look mighty real indeed! These shots reflect the final result.

Orbx is all over P3D 2.0!
P3D. That's right! Now that the cat is finally out of the bag, all the developers in support of P3D 2.0 are coming out of the closet with all their shots and they all look mighty good displaying the new features! Orbx is no stranger to P3D and if it's one thing you can count on, all their products will be fully compatible with 2.0 from day one. I just can't tell you how excited I am about all this. In anticipation of release, I am heading out to add another 500GB SSD to my system! FS9 and FSX people, get ready to make the switch to the future! Check out these shots!

The Queen is looking beautiful!
FS9/FSX/P3D. In this latest update of shots of Queen Alia by Contrail Simulations, there is little doubt in my opinion this team will deliver a stellar product. It's amazing just how many new development companies are arriving on the scene. Sure, many developers have disappeared, but based on all these new projects going on, i'd say our hobby is doing just fine. Have a look at the latest!

Joburg looking nice!
FSX/P3D. ASDG (African Scenery Design Group) is progressing very well on their O.R Tambo international airport project. People have been begging for a proper Johannesburg airport for years from the early FS9 days. Very nice to see this team stepping up to the plate and based on the quality displayed thus far, this is clearly a talented team. Here is the latest update!

Prepar3D V2 Beta: Volumetric fog video!
P3D. I guess it's clear by now, I am throwing all my eggs behind P3D 2.0. With a company as large as Lockheed Martin behind it, I am quite confident this company will see their investments in this platform pay off in the long term which means, P3D will likely be the only platform with active ongoing support aside from X-Plane. This time around, we get a look at another of the amazing features P3D is packing and that's volumetric fog! See those sun rays shine through. No more stuttering clouds folks! P3D 2.0 is going to be freaking awesome! My biggest concern is how fast will REX get their product into it. Or will the current version work?? REX guys? Any comment?
