ADX. Thought I would pop in and say thanks to the developers and community for a tremendous 2013! This month marks my 3rd year anniversary with AirDailyX when I first joined Dom and I can honestly say it continues to be a great ride! Thanks to the readers who continue to step up and mail me with news and to the guys Hoffen and Jerome for their hard work and expertise. Thanks to the advertising partners, webshops, and development companies who continue to believe in ADX, to the rest of the of community who show their support, and to the boys at Lockheed Martin who have not only showed their support for ADX, but for stepping in and paving the future for us airchair pilots. I deeply believe there is much life in the future of PC flight simulation and 2013 was an amazing testament to this statement with all the incredible addons that arrived. I think 2014 will have some amazing things in store and as always, ADX will be front and center to drop the news, exclusives, first looks, interviews, and all that good stuff. As we start to push half a million visits a month, I look forward to another amazing year with you all and launching the new website&forums soon! Cheers, Happy Flighting, and as Hoffen would say: "Keep the blue side up!" -D'Andre

NLS A380 Update!
FSX. If it's one good thing that scam brought on, it's getting NLS to come back from underneath the bed and getting get back to work! In real world, the A380 causes headaches for me. In fact, there is an A380 just a hundred yards from where I am sitting right now that shouldn't be there. As for the sim, I am very hopeful the NLS variant will be much more reliable and fun to play with should it ever come to fruition. Fingers crossed!

Alabeo C195: One Mighty HotRod!
FSX/P3D. Now that's slick! The early un-textured renders looked a bit promising but this is beautiful! It's like when you see an old classic Corvette on the road and you just can't take your eyes off it. I imagine the people flow will give it much attention and I just can't think of a better image than this baby sitting next to the Staggerwing in the hanger or in front of the artdeco at Felts! This one has my name all over it! You getting one?

Alabeo Cutlass RG II Update!
FSX/P3D. When Alabeo was first formed, the purpose was to create aircraft at the same level of quality you would expect from Carenado but with the type aircraft you would not typically expect from Carenado. Thus, when Alabeo first announced the Cutlass, I was a bit taken. But then I added some perspective. Currently with the 1900D now released and with the Phenom on the way, Carenado itself is not developing what we would usually expect which leaves me to ponder: could the 2 companies be in the process of switching strategies? Will we see Carenado move more into the large prop and jet market aircraft while Alabeo continues the Carenado heritage? One thing is for sure, each time I think I have these guys figured out, they do something completely different. Either way, no matter what the stradegy is, some good toys are coming our way! Here is the latest on the Alabeo Cessna Cutlass RG II!

FSL Airbus A320 Update!
FSX/P3D. Well it's about time! FlightSimLabs' Lefteris Kalamaras gives us an early 2014 progress report regarding the FSL A320. According to Lefteris, the team will soon be requesting new applications for beta testers! There is not too much technical jargon regarding development and I am not surprised. These guys are known to be quite secretive. What we did get however, is a slew of new screenshots! Hop on in and have a look! Thanks much to ADX readers Aaron Graham and NarutokunJB for the tip!

NLS Keeps The Updates Coming!
FSX/P3D. Oh how happy everyone is that Next Level Simulations has resumed work on the Airbus A380 project. I am excited too! Fingers crossed and knocking on wood that the guys will keep working on the project and see it to completion. There is some very high talent going into this project no doubt. The latest update is a video showing the PFD and ND animation in action. Very smooth indeed! Great work so far guys!

Majestic Pro Edition Update!
FSX/P3D. One of the top releases of 2013 was without a doubt the Majestic Q400. In fact, I would even go so far to say that that the only other release to over shadow the Q400 was the PMDG-777. And like the 777, the Q400 is still in development. Next up will be the Pro version and it is currently in Alpha testing. This aircraft comes with a slew of features that will really keep you on your toes! Lucky for you, Airline2Sim will soon be along to assist you with your type ratings enabling both professional pilots and amateur armchair pilots gain the necessary experience to properly pilot this amazing aircraft! The latest update shows the gear failure implementation process. Really cool!

Next from MSK!
FSX/P3D. Every time I look up, I see this developer improving quality and developing new techniques. After a failed attempt at an airfield in Northern California and a very successful quality release of Ísafjörður in Iceland, MSK heads back to Pakistan to start Shiekh Zayed Intl, Rahim Yar Khan. Looking forward to more updates!

The King returns!
FSX. That's King Abdolaziz International Airport in Saudi Arabia. I have been following this independent project for several months and it's quite lovely to see that the developer has resumed progress despite hitting a few bumps along the road. Even though these are only early renders, the visual quality is very talented and sharp. I am glad to see the developer continuously working on the project. Have a look.

ScenProc. For Developers!
[FS Utilities] Of all the great things to come out of FSDeveloper, one of the most interesting things recently is ScenProc. I don't have a thorough understanding of exactly how it works, but the end results are outstanding. It's appears to be a tool for implementing autogen in FS and on photoscenery. If you are a scenery developer, you might really want to look into this.

Wherever it is. It looks good!
FSX/P3D. They are not currently giving any information on their latest project in development but it certainly looks great! At the moment, all we know is the project will be payware and will be presented sharp photo imagery at 30cm/pixel and terrain mesh at 3 meters. The teasers do speak for themselves and I look forward to more information on this in the near future. Did I mention the developer?

FAGG and Lesbos. Both of them interesting. No pun intended.
FSX/P3D. During FSDeveloper's domain issues, I missed a number of new projects that were posted over there. A couple of interesting destinations by independent developers include FAGG George Airport in South Africa and LGMT on the island of Lesbos in Greece. Some good stuff out there. Hopefully both will see completion. Have a look!

SPF100 + TrackIR. An ADX tutorial.
[Tutorial] What is sexy? Now if you are anything like me, from the day you discovered the wonderful world of Track IR, 2D cockpits became a thing of the past over night. No flight is of any fun without it. Besides, my helicopter handling skills shot up 50%. The advantages you get whilst using Track IR are simply too good not to use. It increases what you are capable of. But there is one major "flaw" or "problem" with it. But now, for the low price $5 bucks and a limitation of pride to venture down the ladies isle at the department store, there is a fix! And we are going to tell you how!

Gunnar: The next big thing in FlightSimulation!
[HARDWARE] So while I was browsing the shelves at BestBuy (an american electronics store) looking for a new XBox game for my stepson, I came across a pair Gunnar eyeware glasses just across the isle. Initially thinking they were just some frames for kids to make them look cool (or stupid) while playing video games. But these things are no joke. And when you get them, you will quickly see why. And as they are from the guys that brought you Oakley, they are high in quality, use Carl Zeiss lenses, and they are not cheap. Come see what I am talking about.

Lionheart Learjet 24b: Want!
FSX/P3D. Of all the aircraft types we get in FS, perhaps the biggest gap over the years has been the bizjet segment. We just can't seem to get very many business jets. Eaglesoft has delivered a few nice ones over the years and Flight1 with the Mustang. Others include Wilco... Carenado is entering the business jet market this year with the Embraer Phenom and now Lionheart will add a second jet to it's lineup when they release the classic Lear 24b. Small, fast, and packed with steam gauges! This is a man's airplane! Coming soon!

iBlueYonder Nantucket Update!
FSX/P3D. Following his departure from Orbx, talented developer Bill Womack set out to develop his next line of products under his own label: iBlueYonder. I first broke news on this a few months ago, and after a well deserved vacation, he is back at work on his next project, Nantucket! For those unaware, Bill is known for his 100 Dollar Burger Plum Island, Cushman Meadows, and Siletz Bay projects among others.
