FSX. Orbx has released his new Lancair V 1.2 patch, improving the aircraft in many aspects ; a windshield rain effect, new volumetric 3D landing lights, a new passenger, some updates on the external visual model and a full batch of small instruments upgrades.

FSX. This is odd but yes, Ariane Design has just released a service pack fixing issues and problems shown by customers. This "GSP", global service pack is for free. The upcoming Navdata, next month, will cost more than 40 US $. Fascinating...

FSX. MilViz announce that they are working on a Beechcraft Baron 55. External design is already finished. There isn't much more info on the version (a military one ?). MilViz and Nemeth Design have also confirmed that the Chinook project is still planned.

FSX. Scenery Solutions is almost finishing Ground Environment X AFME, a whole new set of textures for the Africa continent and Middle East. Two days ago, screenshots from Congo, South Africa, Afghanistan etc have been published. Be warned that most of them are configured with other addons.

Carenado changes his plans

FSX. It's a scoop. The chilian light aircrafts designer is launching a new project for FSX, the Cessna Skymaster C-337. The King Air and C T210 Centurion are not on hold but the process is probably slowing down.

FSX. The american designer, Pacific Islands Simulation, has unveiled a new project about the Fua'Amotu international airport  in the Tonga, Pacifica. It's more of a transition work until something bigger.

Central Rockies : a first large preview

FSX. Orbx has unveiled yesterday two dozen of pictures from his upcoming Central Rocky Mountains product. If i get it right, this will include a large part of Idaho (Boise, McCall) and the remaining strip in Washington and Oregon.

Hawker Harrier released today

AVSIM announces that WilcoPub has released the STOL Harrier today. This blissful article don't tell us, however,  who eventually developed this aircraft... There is of course a strong probability that Feelthere* designed it, logically, after the STOL model, Tilt Rotor.  No mention of it anywhere... But it must not be really important...

At last, a true real comparative...

FSX (Vidan) and FS9/FSX (Drzewiecki). There are sometimes unique opportunities to compare two identical pictures, Bornholm X and Bornholm X, from two different designers. This is a lesson. We can see here how far a designer can go to try matching the reality. Check carefully and judge yourself if there is really a winner here...

Flycay Airways to frontport Fly Tampa's Miami

FS9 to FSX.  Jonathan Schutte, CEO of Flyway Airways, has started a few weeks ago, a personal project to convert Fly Tampa's original Miami KMIA for FSX. This is not an official Fly Tampa new Miami for the simple fact that others designers are working on it already. Nice initiative. More news and link soon. Some screens ;

FSX. A flood of pictures are now coming from iFLY, and night views in particular...And one conclusion. iFLY will release his baby ahead of PMDG. That doesn't mean anything more than that. We cannot really compare the NG with PMDG's aircraft but our money is not inexhaustible.../.

Nairobi Jomo Keyniatta : a great african airport

FSX. This is a rare event. It reminds me of Casablanca for FS9. What we have here, is the first* heavy airport - quality payware - for FSX in Africa. Nairobi is the second airport from the new designer OrientalSim, after Baghdad last year. But its a nice jump in quality.

Elite-Air studio : status on Shanghai airports

FSX. Andrew Cen is sending news on Shanghai Hongqiao (ZSSS) and Pudong (ZSPD). Hongqiao Version 2 is still progressing and the 3D models are done. The remaining task is to refine all new textures. Initially, Elite-Air expected to make an update on Pudong. This will be eventually a full version 2 with a rework of 3D models, textures and polygones, in order to optimize the framerate. 

Next Level Simulation : a short wink

FSX (and maybe later FS9). From the german website friendlyflusi.at, NSL team has released three high definition screenshots of their A380 FSX native project. A huge and ambitious project (too much ?) driven by two people. The forum is willingly unactive and we don't have any release year. But okay it's nice. A video is moving around the web but its an old one, published last year.

Azores Pico and Santa Maria : test

FS9 and FSX. This is a short test about Tropical Sim Azores pack one. As a matter of fact, this pack is incomplete and Corvo will be added in a few weeks for free. What to say ? The designer has done a real good job with the airports. Pico and Santa Maria terminals are magnificent of details and precision. With this, i definitely forget the TAPA scenery.

Varadero ready for commercial launch

FS9 and FSX. Cesar Escamilla, Ceo of Taxi2gate has released a last set of screenshots of the touristic platform Varadero MUVR in Cuba. This project is a partnership between Taxi2gate and Intersim Studios. The initial release date had to be delayed from february-march (too many projects ?).
