Released - Orbx's Ireland Scenery Now Available!

FSX/P3D/P3Dv2. Just in time for some weekend flying over the Irish countryside, Orbx have released their Ireland scenery. I'm wondering if Orbx plan to release a whole British Isles version, since the original Australia Blue, Gold, Red and Green regions have now been incorporated into one single Australia country version. It sure would make an installation into Prepar3D v2 a lot easier once they have a native installer available, if England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland didn't have to be installed separately, one by one.

The product screenshots really seem to show off the true beauty of the Irish countryside, all we need now is some quaint, sleepy Irish airfields to match. And if you already own FTX: EU Northern Ireland, then Orbx are offering you a 55% retrospective discount off that purchase if you buy FTX: EU Ireland.

Always amusing to see how good the Orbx screens look when compared to what some of their customers experience. I wonder if this is a happy customer, the screenshot he's showing to the world over at Orbx is truly dreadful:

Well, one would assume Orbx wouldn't use blurry pictures taken from a poor angle on a lower spec machine. I followed the link and the poster actually seemed pretty happy.

That is why we ask Iain Emms, who knows how to set up his PC correctly, use 0.30 zoom level, stock ENB settings and has a good eye for composition - to take our shots.

Anyone can take identical shots to our promo shots, it's no mystery or rocket science. Shots with a high zoom level always look bad, no matter what scenery you're using.

I find it amusing how you are so quick to take yet another pot shot at an Orbx product, and a cheap one at that.

Hey John, good of you to drop in. I was not taking a pot shot at all, I was just trying to show how some people can make even the most beautiful scenery look awful and seem happy with it at the same time.

To top it all, you then have people commenting on his screenshot in a positive way by saying "Great view and scenery" instead of suggesting to him to make some modifications to bring out the best of his setup and scenery.

My apologies for giving you the impression of anything else other than finding that screenshot hilarious, we all know Orbx scenery looks much better than that of course :-)

I would like to extend my warmest wishes to you, your family and the Orbx team for the upcoming festive season.

Frederik
