FSX/P3D. How on Earth did I miss this post? Announced by Orbx a week ago! If you thought FTXGlobal could not get any better (besides V1.1 incoming) now you will also get some free upgraded stock airports too! According to Orbx, these are similar in quality to the "upgraded default" airports you generally find in FTX regions. The first batch are by Neil for North America, the second batch by Eddie for the Philippines. Here's a few shots of Eddie's upcoming work at RPLL Ninoy Aquno. Hey, it will hold you over till PacSim releases it and it's still better looking than Bluep.....

Hoi Rob,
Het lijkt erop dat deze link niet klopt, of ik doe iets verkeerd...
Groet,
Hello,
It seems that the link above is broken, or I must do something wrong...
Greetings.
Link works for me. Goes to the forum
And 08/25: Orbx: "The rest of Ireland is being worked on right now and will be the next area released by Orbx".
John Venema must be hallucinating if he thinks we're all going to be spending US$ 30 on Northern Ireland and then another US$ 30 or more for the rest of Ireland. Never going to happen!
This is irrevocable proof of his greed and trying to milk money out of his customers' pockets.
I don't support software piracy, but after the blatant Northern Ierland ripoff and what John Venema said here yesterday, I will now smile every time I see Orbx payware freely available somewhere.
And before you all shout about the poor developers behind Orbx, if they have any integrity they will jump ship to no longer be part of Orbx, as what he has done is unforgivable.
Regardless the reason, I don't support piracy. These guys work far too hard. I hate to see them loosing their income.
They work far too hard for one greedy man called John Venema to ruin it for them all.
I hate to see them losing anything because of John Venema, but lose they will and they only have him to blame.
Sorry, what the hell does this have to do with the topic at hand?
Neil has decided to make some freeware airports for the LA area because he would like to. I'm 100% sure he's not getting paid for this free work, and he even canvased the community for input on what fields to do. Likewise, Eddy is doing this for free too, and because he feels passionate about the airports at hand.
Save your JV bashing for elsewhere, these guys are making this stuff without agendas purely for the benefit of the community. FOR FREE.
Get a life.
On a post about Orbx giving away work for free, and mind you no other developer gives away as much for free, you all complain and promote piracy?
This really does reinforce how view and nasty the flightsim community has become. Disgusting behavior from everyone around.
@Sean McFadden
"I don't support piracy, but.."
"I'm not a racist, but.."
"I'm not a sexist, but.."
Same logic every time.
Luckily for you, you won't have to worry about torrenting these airports because they will be free.
Its nice to have free stuff but this doesn't look much better than the stock?
John Venema, CEO of Orbx, is a madly egotistic individual who yesterday stooped to a new low by choosing this blog as his public soapbox, when he should have addressed whatever issues he has directly and privately with D'Andre.
So I no longer care about anything from Orbx, freeware or payware.
This is starting to get boring... any post ADX has on OrbX software, all the bashers come out of the woods...
OK, I understand you can't make your voice heard on FTX' forum, but why trash this place with your hate calls? If you don't want to buy, then don't... it is a free market...

How pathetic, to think stealing is good or even deserved by anyone. Now it's to the point where people can make excuses for stealing. How sad are things getting?
I agree. If he has any decency left in him he'd issue a public apology here.
I appreciate the freeware airports, but really hope they are coded (correctly) for AI traffic. These airports may have every "flow" known to man, except the one that really matters, "Aircraft Flow".
Which are you referring? To be honest, the middle ground is getting more and more difficult to police. Soon, I may just cut all comments altogether.
Why you post these troll comments about my scenery D'andre?
What did I do? do you want to end my hobby?
D'Andre, please do mate. The drivel in this thread is perfect case in point. I've seen quite recently a respected developer doing freeware because of exactly the kind of unmoderated comments we see here. I'd hate for someone like Eddy or Neil or any other developer (be it free or payware) quit because of the nonsense that goes on. Likewise I'd hate to see this website go under because the workload or stress becomes too much for you to put up with.
We all avidly love this website because you give up-to-date news and no-nonsense reviews without political or commercial bias. You are the only one doing it. Letting the nonsense comments drive the direction this website is heading (and let's be honest, it is), you will go the ways of similar websites such as avsim and flightsim.com. Ie irrelevant backwaters for the kinds of trolls we see here.
Please keep up the top work, but for the love of god stop the comments.
For a 1 man show, it's honestly too much work to keep this blog alive and try to moderate the comments. this blog get's an average of 12,000-15,000 visits a day with well over a hundred comments. So in an effort to ensure the developers I respect so dearly don't get offended and to save myself some work so I can keep up with the news and reviews, the comment section is officially closed.
I'm so sorry to have to do this but, I just can't keep up with everything.
Perhaps in the future I will bring the comment box back.
If this forces people to boycot ADX, that's okay.
