Enigma 737. Stop holding your breath folks...

FSX/P3D. In what is expected to be a notch above iFly and perhaps either on par with or just a notch below PMDG on a quality and systems scale, the EnigmaSim 737 is currently the most anticipated 737 in the community. I was aware of at least 1 major issue plaguing this team on a legal front of which details I will not disclose. Sadly though, the team has stated  that work on the 737 after years of efforts, has rolled to a stop. I was personally holding my breath and I am in their corner. Sorry to start off the day with such bad news. Here is the full statement. Thanks to Lars Nielsen for the tipoff.

"Hi all,

Very quick update as I'm just off out in a bit, but really felt its been all too quiet around here.

The current status of the project is "slowly grinding to a halt". This is unfortunately due to our key members being extremely busy in the real world. While we haven't given up on the project, and continue to add small bits here and there when we have the time, its really not going anywhere fast at the moment.

However, I've been looking at our options in order to get this 737 back on the move, and eventually released. My best advise to the patient folk who've been following this project for a very long time, is simply to assume that development has stopped for now.

I don't expect much activity from our side for quite a few months, for which I apologise in advance. However the next time you see a post like this should be some very good news if everything goes to plan..."

Very sad news and really hard to believe.. after this much work done, it'd be a waste!

What if they sell the plane to another company like PMDG for example? It's just a thought.

Hold on, hold on!

There has never been stated that the project is dead, just that there's currently no progress going on :)

This is true. I, for one, was/am looking forward to the 300 series with winglets - with hopes of a BTI repaint to do some flights from RIX to AMS and back....I'll keep my fingers crossed on this one....

Yeah, we aren't dead. Just need to prioritize real-life events so hopefully in a few months' time, we can get back to it, more than just "adding small bits here and there when we have the time..." like Jordi said. More or less, it's letting people know there's not a point in asking about progress at the moment. Real life happens. Far too much effort has gone into this project for any of us to simply erase it and forget about it. It is every bit of our intention to release this aircraft.

I think we should sit and chat a bit....
RAZBAM

Great idea suggested by Ronald here.. I'd say go for it, don't let it go down the drain!

seriously... the 737 is the best selling airliner of all time. I can only imagine a comprehensive package like this would make a mint! I read they made a ton of liveries tied to different specs like SWA with analogue flight decks. Don't let this die!

Hoping for a miracle. Don't let wilco get away with our money.

Two thumbs up for RAZBAM.

Hopefully the EMB 120 will be out soon too! :)

And hopefully a Saab 200 after the 340 :)

And have another aircraft exclusive to the FSX rubbish bin? I would rather hope that if a project such as this was sold off that it would go to someone committed to both the FSX and Prepar3D platforms. PMDG would be a bad idea from a forward thinking perspective...

please dont leave us with the crappy wilco 737

Yeah , since the beginning off EnigmaSim as payware developer i jump off the boat! Always saw this team as a "no way to sucess"
Sorry but it's the true

I didn't mean PMDG specifically.
