PMDG 747-400X is Phat. Wanna see?

FSX. McPhat is back at it again on the PMDG 747X. This team is clearly unmatched when it comes to visual quality and detail on big birds. The 747-400 is the Queen of the skies and she has never looked better in FS. But don't take my word for it, see for yourself! The team is also working on the A330 and Fokker50.

Well I found this a little bit useless, because the 744 is now a old addon, i rather fly the 777 than it... but well, nice job anyway

kind of disappointed they aren't working on the 777, but the shots looks incredible.

McPhat does a really amazing texture work.

The amount of bump mapping and glossiness they add to their paints is completely unrealistic.
Great for the showroom hanger at Boeing HQ, but not what you see out on the ramp.

Looks great on the Boeing showroom floor but not even close to what you see in the real world out on the ramp.

AFAIK These McPhat repaints are for the PMDG 747X v1, which will soon be obsolete once the 747v2 releases - probably sometime next year by PMDG.

I too found this article a bit on the outdated side. McPhat released a set of PMDG texture sets a long time ago for this aircraft and as someone mentioned above, the 744-400X is a bit old, although I have heard that PMDG is revisiting the "Queen of the Skies" for an update, hopefully a re-work that follows the same design and programming as the 777.

They look good, but I hope they will work on v2.
