FSX. That's Wilco. Always announcing a release date weeks ahead of schedule and then... they just forget or can"t release it. Appalling effect on simmers who were patiently waiting... I suppose that the typical excuse answer will be "it's going to be ready when it will be ready...".
The Wilco Publishing TBM 850 was expected for release yesterday. It is now announced "this summer".

Haha...another nail in their coffin! I'm going to tell Dassault about this too.
Seriously - WHO is waiting for a Wilco product? :D
Only "rush-rush" products and before fixing even half of the bugs (which they'll never do and never did) they announce the next product.
Now that sounds a little like Carenado in my book...
Hmm...
A
Anyone think Wilco's version would be better than Carenado's? Not many people waiting for this one, I'm almost happy to say. Any bets it won't be the Summer 2013?
Good one!
I still cant believe Carenado hasnt released another update. That TBM flys like a tank...
Let's wait for the A2A Version in the year 2045...
Wilco is another Abacus in FS business. The only difference is, they're more expert about ripping people off.
its not like wilco and their contractors (who actually develop the stuff) have improved over the years...remember their airbus series? THAT was horrible...their E-jets and biz jets have so far been more then adequate not great not awful either
people tend to forget that theres more out there than PMDG and that not everybody is on their level of quality...the bitching and moaning about nothing in the FS community latley is really getting pathetic
+1 for SeaGoblin.
The market will sort itself out. Publishers/developers who cannot deliver or meet customer expectations will fade and stop to exist. Just like any other business/industry.
The time that new joiners to the flight simulation scene is pretty much over. The big numbers haven't been there for a while now. I honestly have no idea what businesses such as Abacus, Wilco and a few others are doing to keep themselves afloat.
This is why developers should not post release dates until the product is in near-final beta stage.
The Carenado TBM flys beautifully - in the hands of a competent pilot..
Still better then no estimate at all (i.e., PMDG, QWSim, FSLabs, etc.). I'd rather let them get the kinks worked out than have them release a buggy product. Meanwhile, I'm still waiting on the Bae 146 for the QWSim package that I've ALREADY PAID FOR over a year ago...
Good point - the flight 1 website for QW Ultimate 146 package stills says "will be released as a free update during the 1st Quarter of 2013. This time estimate may vary" .... It might vary, but no updating is probably worse than Wilco saying "summer"
