Carenado Cessna CT206H Stationair released!

FSX/P3D. Carenado has released the Cessna CT206H Stationair. This aircraft is more simplistic instrumentation wise compared to some of the developers other recent releases. Hopefully this translates into better FPS performance... See some official release shots inside.

Hey P3, no shame in admitting you're broke. Bob's your uncle!

I am broke, but that's not the point.
I bought their TBM and I will not going to make the same mistake again until they actually invest time developing properly working airplanes.

Another cessna... it's getting tiring. :\

BTW!

DAndre, can you adjust your blog template so the header image of each article leads to the same link as "READ MORE"? It's INCREDIBLY annoying when you instinctively press it just to find out it reopens the same page on a new tab (using Chrome here). PLEASE, it's a very easy fix! :)

@adi,

Ill look at it but I think you have to adjust the stettings within Chrome.

DAndre Newman said...

Yeah but this aint like the TBM man, no complex systems here. Im not happy with the TBM either.

It's not a browser problem.. it's a common-sense web design thing. The image in the head of the article is supposed to be linked to the "READ MORE" and not refresh the page.

Then go tell the guys at Google to grow some common sense. Nothing we can do on our end here. As I said before, you can adjust your browser not to open links in new tab/window.

adi518 is correct...it IS a design issue on the website links and has nothing to do with his browser. You should be setting the article links on the main page to open within the "parent" window. I know...I designed enough websites over the years. Contact your web design person.

And as I sad before and yet AGAIN, you are going to have to adjust your browser settings. If that doesn't work than perhaps use a different browser...

I'm only going to comment on every second or third ADX new Carenado aircraft post from now on. In other words, every ten or fifteen minutes. Enough time to cook an egg. Mow 1/3 of a lawn. Really annoy your wife or shave an eyebrow. Maybe both if you hurry...

Here's a cartoon idea: A giant sheet of dough on a work table. The little fellow at Carenado standing over it with a few cookie cutters in his hand trying to decide which Cessna to make.

The joke of it is of course that his aircraft fly about as well as the cookie ones would...

You might want to refrain from calling your patrons "dumb", if you'd ever like to be a success some day.

In the meantime, here is the problem code in your links:

The a look at the source code for your image links. See the target="_blank" attribute?

...thats what you need to change so that links will open in same window. You'll need to edit the html code in googles blogging editor.

We would have to edit this manually for every post or edit the HTML source code . With Blogger, sometimes a small fix becomes a BIG problem. Trust me. The links used to perform perfectly when clicked. But everytime Blogger rolls out new updates, they screw with how the blog functions. It's just too painstaking to keep up with these minor issues. To focus on this right now when we are trying to get a site together anyway is just a waste of time.

This just isn't going to happen right now. Sorry mate. I'm ending the discussion here.

Hey guys, I'm just curious about something... Will you be posting an ADX First Look for this Carenad CT206H? I'm eager to buy the aircraft as seeing beautiful gauges rather than a glass cockpit from Carenado for once is a nice treat, and I want to know whether this is another TBM failure or a well done add-on before I pull out my card... Keep up the good work guys!

Nothing wrong with focusing on Cessna products. They're very popular and are good general aviation airplanes. My problem with Carenado products is if you're going to model a Garmin GPS or the G1000, please model it well or at least make substitution possible. I would have bought the C182T if I could have substituted the Mindstar G1000.

Hi Jake,

Yes we will be doing a FirstLook. So far it's very good! I have already featured some shots in our FTX Scotland Firstlook.

Wonderful, I look forward to it! I greatly appreciate the fast and very helpful reply, and plan on looking at those shots in your FTX Scotland Firstlook, thanks again!

Jake - other than the FDE what could they possibly mess up?

I mean there really arent any systems to be modeled in a plane like the 206..it is quite simplsitic in nature...

...unlike the TBM which is probably the deepest plane Carenado has modeled to date, albeit with bugs.

Unknown said...

Oh I wasn't necessarily worried about them messing up anything, I was just more so curious as to how the plane performed. I'm a huge Carenado fan, and although I do understand that there were some faults in some of their aircraft I tend not to notice those issues as much as some people, and even if I do I gladly cope with them. I guess I am just so excited that they created an airplane with gauges once again (not saying they've gone forever without creating an airplane with gauges, I just enjoy their gauge aircraft more than their glass cockpit aircraft) that I didn't watch my mouth, and instead of trying to make a minor joke I sounded rather offensive. I have nothing against Carenado and to be honest, I'm very happily flying their TBM 850, I just ran my mouth without being cautious, leading to myself unintentionally insulting Carenado. I apologize.

I gave up with Carenado, as I noticed that simple things like the transponder's functions did not work as they should, fuel pumps and so on.

I do not have a lot of time to fly on the simulator these days. I have spent quite a bit of cash on realistic or plausible environments, weather generation, cloud textures and so on. I now only spend on aircraft that more closely model real world behaviour. I spend most of my sim time in the NGX, MD11X, Majestic's Q400, A2A Cub/P47/Spitfire/P51, Realair Lancair... I have others but hardly ever use them. I do buy one or two aircraft now and then to support small development teams, like the Ant's T28 Trojan or the Vans RV-7...
Carenado needs to work on one aircraft fully and deal with problems and bugs beofre they move on to a new project. I am sure that they would increase their sales if they did so. My last purchase was the C90, which I only got because Bernt Stolle was involved with the FDE...
