Alliance between 2 aircraft designers

[FS News]. Iris Simulation and Area51 Sim are announcing a major partnership. Interest ? To develop enhanced aircrafts with new features and systems. Both teams have experienced skills on military aircrafts

Official communique :

In a day full of news and announcements, we have the greatest pleasure to announce a development partnership between IRIS Flight Simulation Software and Area51 Simulations.

...IRIS willl be taking select aircraft from the Area51 Simulations catalog and applying our own features and systems to the established Area51 products.

Both leadership teams feel that this development partnership is a positive move in both our businesses, and we look forward to providing new and exciting possibilities for customers of both IRIS and Area51 into the future.

Whilst details on what will be incorporated are still under evaluation, we can confirm that the two products chosen for initial work are the Area51 C-5M Super Galaxy and the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior.

Keep tuned to the IRIS and Area51 websites and social feeds for more information as it comes.

Good on them! This is the sort of co-op I hope to see between more FS groups. I think it's much more productive. Now if we can get Aerosoft, FSL, and Blackbox to do the same so we don't have a ridiculous amount of A320/A330 products that aren't necessary...

Agreed, the C5 and C17 could definitely use a V2 upgrade, with authentic systems. Would pay for this in a second as the external visuals are already quite nice.
