Vote for the next airport!

FSX/P3D. Well actually, it won't be the next airport as FlightBeam is already working on an unnamed airport. Thus you would be voting on the airport that would likely come after the secret project. So what are the airports on the list?? What might we see soon! We'll you have to vote!!  YOU HAVE 4 DAYS LEFT!

"The shortlist has been refined to a great degree. I took everyone's suggestions and reviewed EACH one carefully. I've narrowed the list down to a group which fits our roadmap direction the best.

... and now its time to pick your next destination!

Please bear in mind, for RJAA, that a different developer (Wingcreation) is currently developing Narita.
Also keep in mind, that the LARGE airports will take about 8 months, whereas the smaller airports may take anywhere from 3-6 months development."

This poll closes in 4 days

Good luck on your choice and Godspeed!

Vote for Reno, try something different for once.

Voted for MSP! I love that airport!

Try something different? You'll find Hong Kong or Tokyo might be a bit more different.

Having Fly Tampa's Hong Kong Kai Tak next to a Flightbeam Hong Kong Chep Lap Kok would be so interesting and surreal but sheer bliss...wouldn't be able to help flying back and forth between them and comparing which of the two masterpieces was more awesome. Would be a great challenge for FB to get one up on FT...a friendly battle of the giants would make the greater Hong Kong so damn amazing...since the city's already done and Thai creations Macau is also in the locality.

Wish they said you had to pick one Asian and one US airport and then make both in their timeline roadmap so more would be happy overall and more sales from different users of each type.

They should just try it once as an experiment and see for themselves if the sales are satisfactory. They'd get better and more accurate actual answers/information for future ways of doing things, roadmaps etc. than the polls where some people will obviously cheat and skew the projected sales info and not all potential purchasers will even know about the poll or therefore vote.

Better still would also be to have more confidence and start making the decisions themselves. More people will just buy what's done then, not to miss out on a wonderful FB masterpiece airport instead of only what they've voted for if its done only.

Also wish they'd stick to the mega airports they're famous for doing so well and leave the smaller ones to plenty of others to make. These huge airports in Flightbeam quality just have such an awe-inspiring impact when you fly into them like nothing else and I never get bored with them. Personal thoughts only of course. Each to his/her own.

I wish I could vote for two or three airports, but aside of the foreign airports, I will purchase just about any US airport they'll develop.
Thanks for all your hard work Mir.

Louisville,Ky ... right next to the Kentucky state fair and Churchill Downs. You could see the horse races as you're on short final.

You may or may not know but Belize City's airport is worse scenery of all in FSX. Wish someone would develop a nice real-look Belize City airport.

I agree! I voted for RJAA

Kindly vote for anything OTHER than tokyo... 90% of the simmers are Americans and as such we need to support our country.

Could you please stop using the Addon Manager in the future.

DAndre Newman said...

I can imagine the only people that would have issues with the addon manager would be pirates...

Brian Simpson said...

Thats not a fair point. I've never pirated FS software. It sounds like you know a lot about it however.

I've seen many many people struggle with Addon Mnaager. Its just hurts legit customers. I was never able to get the buildings to show up with SFO & I gave up with FSDT years ago.

DAndre Newman said...

I understand Brian. 7 years using it since Cloud9, I never had an issue...

And given the fact that FSDT and FlightBeam is still in business, it seems to me many are not having the issues either. But that's what customer service is for. So what did Mir and Umberto recommend you do to resolve your issues then?

They just said you are shit out of luck so you don't buy their products anymore?

DAndre Newman said...

Doing Chep Lap Kok... I can't get onboard with that one. It's a very plain looking airport to me and ImagineSim did a good enough job on it.

We don't need 2 mega airports with 5 seconds flying distance from each other from 2 major developers. I would like FB focus elsewhere.

I agree that we need to support our country BUT we need more scenery/airports outside of our countrys.

Voted for Salt Lake City International Airport as this one looks the nicest ...

Brian Simpson, if you're having buildings disappear at FSDT and FlightBeam Airports, then just restart COUATL within FSX.

DAndre Newman said...

Good choice Jerdoo!!

Will this work when using instant replay? My only gripe with the add-on manager is the buildings and runway textures disappear during instant replays.

Download a program called "FSRecorder" - it records AI traffic, has far more settings, saves the file and lets you view buildings at FlightBeam/FSDreamTeam products. There is also a beta feature in which the flight will record slowly and during playback the frames will be perfect. Regardless, it's a great program and I recommend you get it (it's free).

Denver has such a neat layout in terms of runways, and the buildings are very interesting. As well, the location is perfect for flights across all of the US. Also it's the/a base of Frontier and United. Overall it just seems like such a good choice (that was my vote).

Brian Simpson said...

I don't want any crap memory resident spyware running. its just an airport scenery, not EA's Simcity.
The addon thing plays hell with virus scanners & doesn't work with FS recorder. The last airport i tried with it was Vancouver. That was a the one of the worst airport sceneries I've ever used. Its crashed on finals several times & looked very stale & artificial. I've not got time to tinker anymore, i just want to fly. We all know who the problem free developers are & i'll stick to their products & save the hours for my family.

Newark. One of the most scenic airports in the USA after San Diego. And I don't from an aesthetic point of view as beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. Industrial beauty.

Chuck Norris said...

Kindly vote for anything other than US airports. The world is way bigger than USA. Besides it's not true that 90% of the simmers are american. There are plenty of US sceneries covered by the major devs whilst there are so few asian airports made by the same great devs. So I voted for Narita.

So sad that people need to cheat on this poll. Now FlightBeam is making their own choice :(
