FSDG Kastellorizo exclusive!

FSX/P3D. Here are a couple shots of Kastellorizo direct from the team at FSDG! After Heraklion, Mykonos, and Skiathos, it's nice to be getting more airports in the region! The release is just around the corner! How close?  Confirmed by FSDG, due to limitations, FS9 will not be covered.

Release projected for this week! Stay tuned...

Fantastic news! The eastern-most of the Greek islands, in the gorgeous Dodecanese. I've literally just got back a couple of days ago from a great vacation in Rhodes, only just more than a stone's throw from Kastellorizo, in the area where Europe meets Asia. Its so close to the Turkish mainland that when I last sailed there with a friend from Rhodes, you can see the headlights from the cars in Turkey. Anyway, some really beautiful shots so far of this little gem of an island and true to the life and feel of the place, textures and all. Should prove for some great approaches. Have all there other Greek islnd and airport sceneries and I must say, its starting to build a really beautiful Greece in the sim, with so many island hopping and flights from FT Athens. And Thessaloniki still to come. Just keeps getting better. Hope they can do Diagoras International +/- Rhodes town/island some day. Some great news announcements today. Has made my month. No offence D'Andre but from the quality of these guys' work, I won't even need to wait for the ADX review. That is a compliment to the dev and adx...hope that's clear is all. Thanks for the Exclusive and estimate!

Dont get your hopes up too high, the fs9 version obviously wont look as good. No hd textures and less details. Same case with heraklion.

There is no FS9 version AFAIK, impossible in this case I think

And it will be for FS9 also - great!

Not everybody require such amount of details that FSX offers.

Heraklion was fine for me.

There IS no fs9 version, aerosoft's preview forum never mentioned one and it will be highly unlikely.

I dont know where airdailyx got the fs9 part from but there is no fs9 version. Both forums say FSX/P3D, no fs9 or whatso ever.

Maybe not. if that's the case, then this is their first non FS9 airport...

Indeed, there is not going to be a FS9 version on this airport.

FS9 would never be able to handle the resolutions (terrain mesh and general textures) that we used for this island.

You've got to be kidding me?! I think you've just made my month again my friend! I can't believe I didn't know this existed. Cheers so very much!

I had a look and it doesn't look half bad you know. My only concern is there's literally only 1 review of the airport itself, written this year, which says " very hard with framerates, with it fsx it's barely usable. Unadviced." Don't know what to make of that. Do you have it by any chance? If so, is there any truth to this reviewers comments. Don't worry if not.

I think, if the above team were to make it at anytime, I'd buy it in a jiffy but this may well do for now. That's what I've generally been doing for a very long time, on the whole, for areas/airports in Asia and Latin America too so why not use the same policy here. Thanks again buddy! That was really good of you anon.

Best regards,
Sid

I'm itching to get my hands on Kastellorizo for FSX/P3D Emilios! Afcharisto poli! Thanks for the info...now get back to work and finishing the beta-testing :-) lol! Yasas!

Not a problem, mate. Glad I could help. As a matter of fact, I do own these products and Zante as well. If I'm not very much mistaken, the developer is Emilios of FSDG - the Kastellorizo and Heraklion guy. I myself have no problems at all with performance and frame-rates. It goes pretty smooth actually. Rhodes and Zante are older products, so do not expect Kastellorizo or Heraklion-like quality and autogen, but nevertheless I believe they are worth the money.

Great news! Zakinthos is yet another one of these ilands I've been fortunate to visit. Toured the whole island on a quad bike some years back. Now that's another month you've made for me. You can come back my friend. lol. And by Emilios yo say?! Well that's promising even if its a bit outdated now, you never know, it might not be too much effort for him to cycle back round one day and update them...or a v2 at a discounted price for existing owners or something. I'll take a look mate! Thanks again, really. Didn't even know we had an ad on for the Ionian sea too.
