PMDG 777 - Emirates Again!

FSX. PMDG Simulations has posted another Emirates Boeing 777 livery preview, this time with the caption "Bye bye Dubai...". The developer is certainly creating quite a stir with these preview releases... Take a closer look at the latest PMDG 777 Emirates livery preview inside as well as the previous Emirates preview from Friday.

Today's PMDG Boeing 777 Emirates livery preview "Bye bye Dubai...":

finally some pictures that do justice to a project is such caliber.

The wings don't look like they have enough flex in flight.

D'Andre, Mason, Mark...please delete all posts that mention "wing flex!" F-ING ridiculous!

Yeh complete joke. This is one of the most realistic screenshots I have ever seen in a flight sim. You would never be able to tell wing flex from this angle and this small a photo either. Also, PMDG model using the real engineering documents direct from Boeing. Im sure they know alot more about this then you do sir.

Are you sure?...

Wing flex doesn't look right, engines are too big, wheels are too small, and the color of the Emirates paint job is just wrong, and the systems are lackluster

Not impressed, acubus did a better job imo

I am a B777 type-rated Wilco pilot and there is no "real engineering document" that describes how much flex the wings have at various stages of flight.

I smell a troll. *grabs popcorn*

One of the funniest comments I have read so far. Abacus rules, not!!

Hey real life 777 I have a special route you can fly today:

URR
EN
AZZH
HOHL

Happy flying ;-)

Not enoguh wingflex? Your kidding right?

This is not Aerosoft or Blackbox or whatever who don't make wingflex.

It's also the angle and this one just took off.

Look at this:

You can't make it better!

Great to have some input from an RL 777 pilot.

I can't find the waypoints in above flightplan ... might need to update my Jeppesen's

"I am a B777 type-rated Wilco pilot "

LOL are u 10 Years Old???

It's way way better than Captain Sim 777, right mr. developer (cs) :D

I do not aim to troll, but the color of the wheels should be darker.

Great!? Will we ever get to use it? Stop the hype, we want to purchase the product! Now, just release it!

I think one (just one)of the gazillion rivets is off by a millimeter. I think PMDG should scrap it and start over. The FS9 default 777 is wayyyyy better!

In all honesty...do you think some of you - you know who you are - are nitpicking just a little?

I think no diferent ! When you wold like bigger Engines fly the unrealistic CS777

To further my point...this is not PMDG's first trip to the dance. Have you forgotten about the 737NGX? PMDG knows what they are doing! I think everyone just needs to relax and trust that PMDG is going to hit another home run with the T7.

I very much doubt your a real 777 pilot. There is such a document which explains the structural limitations of the wing under flex. My comment was more about PMDG making the wings to the exact specification of Boeing, not necessarily the wing flex. If the wing is built the same as the real thing, it will flex as close to the real thing as is possible in a simulated environment.
SQ 777 FO out.

SQ 777 FO should be looking through the front window rather than at wings flexing, should he not?

Should be interested in Flight dynamics and systems, should he not?

Sound like Yoda, my post does?

Know anything about how FSX or other sims model wingflex SQ FO? Perhaps not.

More so than most seeing as I also consult for Flight Simulation franchises on configuring the MSFS platform for realistic simulation. I work on ensuring FNPT-II FTD's mirror the real world device as much as possible in the simulation environment.

This is false. The wings can be exactly the same length, width, etc. as the actual boeing wings, but it does not mean that they will flex the same way, since in FSX the flex is an animation and has nothing to do with whether the wings are otherwise faithfully reproduced. The technical documents describe the designed structural load limit of the wings, not how they flex during each phase in flight.
