here we go again...

FS9/FSX. Well it seems yet again AviaSim is making a decision that will not see completion of a current project under development. So far, the Luxembourg project was progressing well and looking quite good. But... well the latest statement implies the project is being completely scrapped. "... not been cancelled, however we are going to re-make it using different methods..." Well okay then...

Statement from AviaSim:

"We have been silent for too long, but I want to update you on things, this update doesn't involve pictures.

Luxembourg: Still working on it, not been cancelled, however we are going to re-make it using different methods, methods that will make this airport completely FSX native. ie: I use the FS2002 code for ground polygons, I will no longer do this and use FSX code, via SBuilderX

City Of Leicester: Still working on it as I write this, a lot of progress been made, but still a way to go!

Leicestershire Aeroclub X V1.1 Up: Gathering information on what needs to be improved/fixed, added the V1 buzz bomb display, tweaked the tree texture so they are darker and is now compatible with the Orbx mesh. Considering also using SBuilderX for the ground poly, to allow for sloped runway and FSX default autogen trees for vegetations to allow user control and seasonal variants."

Sad to see another project not being completed. CYXE Saskatoon not being completed
was a huge disappointment for me, more smaller Canadian airports are needed to be done.

As a fellow developer (but from a succesful team that releases many addons a year) STOP announcing things!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont know how to say this more sternly, stop spilling your beans in public, shut up, go away, READ up on design, DO NOT announce your next project until its COMPLETED and READY

You make the rest of us look bad with your flipflop bullshit going on

The masters of vaporware. How about we stop giving them any publicity until the actually release something worthwhile?
I mean how many project have they announced and then scrapped? I've lost count and its just got to the point now where they are embarrassing themselves.

I completely understand that ranting is not the way to get your point across but you have to think about how many products are actually released by this company vs. what they announce. I have been following them when I was making my airport on fsdeveloper, I did notice their SLC post which got many many people excited since there is no current SLC for FS9 or X. They quickly terminated the thought after completing the ground poly. They announced SMF shortly after and we quickly fell for that too, only to find out that it would also be terminated due to a team breakup. But you know with all relationships you give second chances because the poonanny is good, and they announced CYXE which looked very very well. And its gone. This time because the "airport authorities said no". Now we are in 2013 and he wants to compete with UK2000 because they called his scenery a few bad names. Childish middle school all over again.

tl;dl

My point: Even know your scenery looks great, how are you going to get sales when you cried wolf too many times?
