Hey D'Andre. I think the correct link is: http://www.carenado.com/CarSite/Portal/index.php?accion=product&correl=77 Great-looking aircraft btw. Cheers! :D
Well I use Paypal for all my transactions to buy add-ons as I don't have a credit card and unfortunately Carenado are still in the dark ages of e-commerce in not offering Paypal.
They release their products on their own site first to make the most $ on the front end. Paypal takes a cut of each transaction so they sell direct. So don't worry, in a few weeks it will be up on Simmarket.
From what I know personally, it's not happening any time soon. And if you ask them you may not get a reply. They are very clear on this on their website. Believe me, people have asked...
D'Andre I'm sure they take more of a hit financially when their product gets sold on Simmarket, as I'm sure Simmarket also takes a cut. A Paypal transaction of US 39,00 would cost them US$ 1,09 in Paypal fees, and I'm sure Simmarket would take way more off their revenue than that!
It seems very, very short-sighted of Carenado. I mean they are forcing me to buy their plane from Simmarket, when I would readily buy it directly from them if they offered Paypal.
What you say is true. Although Simmarket does reach a large global customer base. Perhaps it is more of a matter of principal? But I agree. When it comes to purchasing products for reviews, ADX we use paypal. Easier to keep track of what we purchase etc. And no credit and banking details needed. Personally, I love paypal. Been using it for years.
i had no idea. i always assumed it was like 7-10% but i assume the exposure simmarket delivers is worth it. a wonder if Aerosoft charges the same percentage...

I would suggest sending a request to contact@carenado.com to see if they will add PayPal as a payment option.
They added it to the Alabeo site a few months ago, so if enough people request it, I'm sure they'll add it to the Carenado site as well.

I find their no-Paypal strategy ridiculous!

I think simmarket takes 15-18%
Really? thats huge!
No, simmarket takes 30% - I know that as I sell my products there too :-)
