RemoteFlight: The toy to use with your toys!

[FS Utilities] When I first joined AirDailyX back in Jan of 2012, one of the very first products I brought to attention was the RemoteFlight application. Nearly 2 years and several apps later, I still consider the RM ios apps to be by far coolest external device application to use with my simulator. If you are like me, most days I just don't have time to just sit and fly. As we all do, I start going through the rigors of preflight, takeoff, and climb. But once I level at cruise, as many of us do, I go do whatever else I need to do. This is where the apps keep me involved with the flight no matter where I am.
Maybe I have to clean the house, or want to watch a movie, take a huge poop, or eat dinner. Or all at once! The fact that I have to keep returning to my system every so often to check my position was always a hassle. RemoteFlight, gave me complete control of the aircraft and flight information no matter where in my house I happened to be completely changing the way I flew.... The way I fly. Everyone will use these apps differently, and no matter how you will choose to use them, be it training, teaching, a means to control panel functions off screen, or simply a way to keep you focused on the task while browse other windows during flight, you will quickly find RemoteFlight apps are extremely helpful. And they look good in HD too!
Now many of you may already know about RemoteFlight thus this little preview is for those who aren't aware of it or on the fence about getting it.
With RemoteFlight apps, you can monitor your aircraft, import flight plans, (extra fee) and even control the aircraft via autopilot functions (separate app) live in real time from your iPhone or iPad from anywhere via your Wi-Fi network. I won't get into too much of how it works but just to say it works! And it takes less than 5 minutes to set up.

I set up a quick YouTube video to acompany the origional post so you can see it in action.

Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJ4dLIr28JI

You can find more information from the RemoteFlight website and check it out for yourself.

But what about Android.

Yes, sadly it's only for iPads. This is yet another application for FSX that would totally rock if it supported Android. :(

Is there anything that does this for a PC, just a close up of your guages on a second monitor? I would love something like this but I don't have iPad or iPhone.

Well, there are the products from Saitek. But you would be better off buying an iPad then getting all those cheap plastic gauges. Besides, youcan take the iPad away from the computer into other rooms and monitor the flight, position, etc.
