Bad time for Latin VFR

New development in the Key West affair and an embarassing one. Although Latin VFR has most probably reworked Key West terminal from scratch, Fly Tampa now unveils another story.../..Updated. Latin VFR statement.

According to the americano-british team, Latin VFR has re-used some of their airports textures from Buffalo or Tampa for instance. Latin VFR is urged to update KEYW with his own textures set. Junior Puente (Intersim) wins the point...

Updated 13h30 UTC / Latin VFR : We have been in contact with George and Martin, and we are working on this as we speak. It is unfortunate and we apologize all parties involved. We are working for a swift solution so that Key West can be patched and once we patch it ,we will send the final patch to Flytampa team so that they can verify that there are no more problems, and then to the consumer.

Identical ground marks.

this has been a little bit of a nightmare for LatinVFR with the intersim battle and now this huge crush. I hope that this was a one off mistake and we dont see this appearing in more of his sceneries.
LatinVFR is a great little company that chooses airports that are great but other companies miss them out!

Well, "I hope that this was a one off mistake and we dont see this appearing in more of his sceneries. ", this was second time, so they have lost all my respect.

honestly i cannot understand why!?!? they are obviously good enough to produce their own....i am more than sure that if they kindly asked for some help from flytampa for some texturing they would have received...totally unacceptable behaviour. twice!

Couldn't help but notice you posted this Mason, but not the release of Key West, why?

Could be a mistake, a slip, but it shows that they have no procedures and systems in its development. If you think twice is not a mistake then it shows the poor ethic from this people, whatever it is they are and will be just a little one in the scenery developers world.

Yes, yes, true.
But there is another viewpoint of this.
Long ago, I mean long ago, the major developers should have set up a common texture bank. Not to be used by anyone, but to share between professional designer in order to spare 50-60% of development time. All would have benefited from this. But they rather spend month on designing something, that has already been done 12 times... silly...

It's ironic, that on the Latin VFR Forum they have a thread entitled 'Pirates Hall of Shame'. Perhaps it's time they post their own names in that thread as this has not been the first time LatinVFR have been caught with their hand in the cookie jar.
