WingCreation Narita released!

FSX/P3D. Let's return to Japan! Personally, I love flying the skies of Japan. There are so many amazing airports in the country it's nearly impossible for any single developer to cover them all. OverlandJP came very close and many of those airports still meet current industry standard. But sadly many do not and are outdated by far. The new Japanese team WingCreation has come to the rescue with Narita-their second and largest product-and I am personally looking forward to to putting it through my own tests. ADX FirstLook should be available soon. For now, it's available!

I've personally already expressed by constructive criticism on the rectifiable elements of this project very recently so I have no intention of repeating the same short-comings a few days on word for word.

On the positive side, I will reiterate, the modelling work seems very good in some of the simmarket preview screenshots and that, to me, is the best attribute of this project that many wlll hopefully enjoy :-)

For me, having considered all factors (including the usual, only half thought out "they're new" comments of some as well as market forces, as well as my desire to support new outfits with some leeway), 41 euros is simply not the fair asking price for a product that looks 90-95% superb but falls very (e.g. screenshot 2 in sales page) in 2 critical areas when it comes to (admittedly my own and minority) user experience: ground & night-lighting.

All said and done, I reserve final judgement and my decision to justify 41 EUR on your testing DAndre and on YT videos/potential ADX live sessions/other feedback etc. I also love flying the skies of Japan and already also have a couple of good sceneries ther, so unlike some who don't fly there, I have more incentive for actually buying and supporting this newer team. Even if this particular scenery ends up falling short and is not updated someday, doesn't in the least mean I wouldn't support Wing Creation on future improved projects... they have done the right thing lately and put some hard work in to gain much improvement (as I say, modelling really is very nice). Just won't pay 41 Euros unless I think that's about its market value, even taking into account this is their second major scenery and a large one too (that's just me though and the way it works for me in my own perspective and for what I need in my primary sim...its by no means the most common perspective).

All in all, this will do just nicely for a hell of a lot of people who just 'need a Narita add-on' much better than default. I wish them happy flying and congratulations and commend the team for their hard work and achievements...I do have Fukushima on my list and will support the advancement of their work in that way for now. Enjoy people and happy flying...Japan is just so damn beautiful to fly in the sim...I never ever get bored of it! Wow!

Looking forward to your personal thoughts and own conclusions through testing DAndre! Hope that tooth's sorted now, by the way :-)

So FlyTampa Dubai is EUR 30, and Flightbeam KIAD is EUR 28, Taxi2Gate MMMX Extreme is EUR 30 and LHS Budapest is EUR 20, and somehow Wing Creation think that they can ask EUR 40 for this scenery?

Sorry, but that is crazy pricing and never going to happen that I will buy it, even if it looks quite nice.

Typically I buy most scenery, but I have my limits and unfortunately this has exceeded that by some 12 to 13 Euros
I'm sticking with the default and freeware on this one

I'm not gonna pay 41€ for this scenery!

Lol! Still too way high for what it seems eh?, especially for those who have to pay vat, hence still 42 EUR. Personally, from what I can see in some shots, don't think it looks worth more than around 20 EUR but hard to say at this stage, until we start seeing some feedback. I think the team's trying to run before it can walk personally. They need to be more realistic surely, or simply sort out the night lighting and gloss over the ground image with something...bits of grass...I don't know. I can totally see where your coming from Kaman mate...a bit shocking...and cheeky, dare I say.

The price is a bit of an insult frankly...They've had 2 chances now...either improve the quality if you have the skill-set or lower the price until you have acquired it...its a perfectly logical and simple choice. Perhaps we should give it some time to "allow 3 strikes but then your out" on this one. I'm already starting to wish Flightbeam would go ahead and just do they're own version for a different high quality market, while Wing Creation cater for the consumers who just need and want any upgraded, non-default improved airports in quantity. I really believe both markets exist, even if they may overlap dynamically over time for both to sell well overall. This is a major world airport and ultimately, whether in a serious update by these guys once they have the skills or by Flightbeam, Flytampa, TaxitoGate, LHsimulations level studios, I do hope we'll get a decent quality &/or fairly-priced Narita Internatonal airport. At this point today, we seem to have neither in its entirety. Oh well.

41Euros? April fools has come early!

no way

What's the next step ... Kuala Lumpur for 50 € Shaghai for 60 € ... and then they come crying that there is motivation to torrent sharing ...
I think, there is not limite for the developer and this is a stupid aproach about the possible market !
A made 10 years market in a shop, and the first leçon is not push the price to the top for fidelize the customers and give motivation to buy...
I just hope for christmas time, this compagnie make a 30 % sale ...

This more than Flightbeam, FSDreamTeam or Flytampa. Bull$hit. Pardon my honesty here, but they are counting on new comers to the FS scene, because even for the same price I wouldn't touch it, just out of respect for the work of the mentioned 1st class developers.

I bought it, and i hope i get a refund!!! It not 40 Euro worth. From the Groundtexture to the static Gates.

And for those who get it, please give some screenshots because I am suspecting a very generous use of the Unsharp Mask in Photoshop in the promotional screenshots.

I have the product and will be conducting the ADX FirstLook shortly along with the Carenado EX and Orbx Canberra.

41 euros?? No way. Never!

I'm guessing that it's still priced for the Japan market. Other "locally-produced" scenery in Japan AND SOLD TO JAPAN FSXers also go for $50 and $60 US dollars (i.e. 37 to 44 Euros).

They probably did a mental comparison and estimated they will lose more money if the priced it at “rest of world” pricing but probably wouldn't get enough volume to make up for the price drop (as compared to Japanese prices, for the Japan market).

In other words, you/we are NOT the target audience. They are probably hoping for a few additional sales, but the bulk will still be from Japan-based FSXers.

Perhaps once they sell enough of them to the Japan Market, they can drop the price and sell to the world market? (and hopefully update those textures y'all are talking about)

Just my $0.02 of what is probably going on.

David

Regardless, don't want it, don't need it at that price.
