PMDG 777 BETA - Sunset Landing in Nigeria!

FSX. And not for P3D as we must remember! Froogle back at it again with the legendary PMDG-777. This time its an initial, final, and landing of the aircraft. Came in on the glideslope which is better than some Asiana 777 pilots now out of a job. Maybe they should hire Froogle!  And for those of you complaining you can't stand the beta testers enjoying it, too bad! Have a look anyway!

Oh I love those armchair pilots who land without setting their barometer correctly :P

Nice landing!

It was set correctly at 4000ft - admittedly a little past transition level!

Its a game - not real life. Armchair pilot is very much correct!

Does anyone know how strictly the "not for P3D" will be implemented? i.e. will us P3D users be able to get around it using a utility (FSX2P3D) as we did the 737NGX and other PMDG products or will they do a GEX and deliberately brick it...?
Be good to know if any Beta testers have tested this...

Hvae some respect.
I am a one of the many froogle subscribers and the guy knows how to fly properly.

None of the beta testers are going to violate a PMDG P3D EULA to test this and report on it. You will have to wait and see if others manage it. I am sure if the NGX works the 777 will too. I doubt they will brick it. Have to wait and see

I am sure that PMDG don't care if we install it on P3D. They won't help us in that. neither give us suport. But don't allowing us to install it on P3D if we can with other tools, would be a very ugly movement from them.

All we want is to enjoy our hobby. On FSX or P3D, there's no reason to make things more difficult if we pay por the product as we have to.

I just hope to run it on my P3D correctly, I don't ask for more.

There is certainly the possibility that the 777 will not run on P3D at all. It is not uncommon for licensing check systems to ensure that the correct install requirements are set. I suppose it will all depend on how tough they wish to be in enforcing the no P3D EULA, the technology definitely exists...
If they are particularly tough, not even an install in FSX and handcopy to P3D would work...
Pirx, it is all about licensing. You are not paying for the 777. You are paying for a licence to use it as stipulated in the EULA. Any deviation from that is considered as a breach of the EULA and you would risk having your licence revoked. When you buy software these days, you rarely get to purchase the actual software... You actually only buy a licence to use it as the company set out its use and restrictions. Tough world, but that is the way it is...
PMDG do not see P3D as entertainment platform. As such, their products are not licensed for use on P3D. Perhaps they see it as a commercial training product, even in the academic version. I suppose LM would have to redefine what P3D is in its separate versions...

Dont worry people. Obviously, its the first on my list of things to attemmpt this working in P3D. I also have 2 real world 777 pilots on stby to fly the aircraft for me should it work.

As I have no plans whatsoever learning to fly this till the x64 P3D is released.

I hate automatic landings, literally skipping the best part of every flight. It's like when you make love to a woman, then just before the very end (you know what I mean) you must answer a phonecall and go, bummer.

DAndre Newman said...

Could not possibly agree more. I have never so much as once used an autoland.

Or answered the phone for that matter... :)

I really hope that PMDG produces some videos like Nick Collet did for the PMDG NGX. It is nice to see the 777 in beta, but those videos do not reach more than maybe 2000 views. Nick's had over a 100.000. Totally different league.

I was wondering if you were going to add that!

Very Nice, T7 will make history like others PMDG projects.

But, I really wanna know, what is the next project of PMDG, I know they making the new version of B747 and after that? Maybe a B787??? I`ll be happy if they start a new B767 project!!

They have kids and baggage handlers Beta Testing this. I know the owner is a B777 Pilot but real beta testers should be real T7 pilots.
