PacSim Rarotonga released!

FSX. Pacific Islands has released the following statement regarding the Rarotonga scenery: "Tests completed and we're on target to release this week." Good news indeed! These shots remind me of good times way back in the day when I used to work for NZ. The Tonga flights were always a nail-biter with the weight and balance for obvious reasons. We really put those old 767's through their paces always departing just below maximum takeoff weight! Check out the last shots before release!
Update>> released!

In my opinion, this is a great strategic airport to be had. Anyone doing cross-pacific flights will like this, especially me. :)

Fantastic! Any idea how long the runway is? We need more stopover places like this for FTX Global now.

I think the runway is over 7600ft long and 148ft wide and usually takes Air New Zealand B747 and B777 every week in the real world. Just google for exact runway specs and background of airport.

7638ft

That's great news about the runway guys. Thanks! In that case, I should've said we need more stopover places like this for FTX Global and the new PMDG 777 (the Air New Zeeland one in this case)! Graham does seem to be showing improvement with each new project and putting good effort into making places feel alive with atmosphere and activity of various kinds going on in this scenery. I'm gonna get it soon too. Hope they keep producing better and better sceneries far and wide across all of Asia/Oceania. There's just so many airports crying out for this kind of effort in Asia! Looks promising if they keep improving like this. Looks like the quality battle between Thai Creations and Pac Sim is on and they could even become the masters of quality sceneries in Asia soonish if they keep improving the quality of their work with each new release in this way. Good luck to them, I say! Rarotonga looks worthy of my support and investment and I'm sure gonna get it too CIA Director.

Just purchased it and it is simply amazing. Brilliant work from PacSim. I tell you Chris J, PacSim is definitely leaps and bounds ahead of Thai Creation and I am looking forward to their Manila (RPLL) product as well. Money well spent this evening, I say.

Working on the ADX FirstLook and I agree. Amazing!

Forgot to mention the FPS is way over the roof. I flew last night into the airport in the NGX737 and thought the FPS would drop a notch or two but it held steady all the way to touch down. The night lighting, especially the street lights all over the island is a winner, in my book.

Great news! Thanks guys! Agree too at this moment but there's nothing wrong with some healthy rivalry, eh?!
