POSKY 787 has finally! Arrived!!

FS9/FSX. Well not exactly Posky... Most of you should remember Hiroshi Igami and Yosuke Ube of Project Opensky. Well after the split and subsequent demise of Posky, these guys continued progress of their 787 project. We at ADX were quite aware that the project was still in progress but had very little info about it. The new development team is called: TDS Tenkuu Developers Studio which is translated to mean
"Heaven's sky." Does this thing have a VC? We will try to get you a First Look as soon as we can.

Personally I can do without the VC as long as it has wingflex.

Oh, it's got wingflex alright! Believe it!

Why hasn't the market moved on from freeware yet? Other than the occasional repaint, I have yet to see a freeware release that is anywhere close to today's expectations. We already have a nice payware solution from Aerosim for this aircraft, with a better one coming from Qualitywings soon, so why bother with freeware for this, or any other aircraft for that matter?

I'm sure making this FS9-era exterior model was a lot of work, but why release it in a free, unfinished state...just to release something?

The community needs to break their ties with freeware as all it does, especially the "complete aircraft" offerings, is pollute the file libraries and disrupt the FS sites from focusing on payware addons that truly are worthwhile. Flightsim users, especially those with a good amount of experience/familiarity, should be beyond using freeware by now.

The only saving grace for this particular item is that it may get people interested in the proper payware offerings, and it's not another GA or prop aircraft. (Another aspect of FS that I can't understand...what's the draw to the non-airliners?)

Is it a native FSX model?

Actually, Hiroshi I think kept a blog. The updates to it were posted at http://posky-j.cocolog-nifty.com/ . Unfortunately, the blog is in Japanese, although it does have a download section.

Hey eerrr DELTA >>> maybe should go deeper into the FREEWARE add on's and find out, that many FREEWARE add on's out there are PAYWARE quality - you hurt a lot of happy FREEWARE people with such a negative comment - have a good day - and thanks a lot POSKY for another FREEWARE Boeing 787 ;-) many greetings from UNITED

No one will reject anything with a "free" price tag. This TDS 787 is a very good quality freeware. The only ones giving negative comments would be the payware developers, who scared of poor sales while the freeware offerings are "too good"!

Come down off of your high horse for just a minute and consider the long hours it takes to create an aircraft for FSX. Maybe you don't have a clue. And then it's given freely for all of us to enjoy, and most without even a thank you. And worse, an absolutely rude post such as yours trashing freeware in general. I can certainly understand why there may not be as much freeware anymore. But you may not be able to think beyond your own, small world that there are many others who do appreciate what is so selflessly given.

clearly you have no idea Delta.. FLIGHT simulator... means just that anything that FLIES gets SIMULATED... its not "airliner" simualtor and have you ever considered there a lot of people in the FLIGHT simulator world that cant afford to buy payware ?I guess not from your comment plus freeware aircraft and scenery form the backbone of the flight sim community as some of them do move onto payware products and produce oh i dont know scenery like orbx? its a way for people who are interested in doing it to learn as well to make their sim experience better and at the same time share it with others also freeware aircraft and scenery are a great help to virtual airlines as well! and the freeware content out there is simply just amazing including scenery developers but I guess you are entitled to your opinion and my opinion on that is you have totally missed the mark by oh 12000nm maybe a bit more... anyway great freeware model and just as a heads up the aerosim VC can be merged into the FSX model for this one with all gauges working I know this because Ive done it!!
