Dassault 7X incoming!

FSX/P3D. Dassault Aviation has expressed interest in their 7X aircraft being created for FSX and P3D. As great as this news is, the down side (in my opinion) is the company they choose to work with to get it developed: Wilco's internal development team... So the good news the 7X is coming. But (again in my opinion), Eaglesoft would have been a much better bet. See the full press statement inside:
Wilco Publishing is excited to announce today an official partnership with Dassault Aviation to design aircraft add-ons for PC-based flight simulators, Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Lockheed Martin Prepar3D.

The first to be released is the Falcon 7X, Dassault’s benchmark for the 21st century business jet.
With unrivalled experience, technological strengths and military knowledge, Dassault Aviation built the Falcon 7X, a vision for the future. With an all-glass integrated flight deck, Wilco Publishing’s 7X will feature an incredible aircraft model, with superb interior and exterior
details. Even the individual rivets and screws are modelled in 3D.

With authentic flight dynamics, a real audio experience and a Fly-By-Wire technology to connect the pilot to the flight controls, Wilco Publishing and its skilled development team will make the Falcon 7X a pure excitement in the virtual skies.

Falcon 7X will be part of the brand new Wilco’s HIFI Simulations series !
High Definition all the way from incredible model detail to maxed-out textures. More cockpit functions than ever before. Super detailed cabins, cockpits and exteriors.

I was super excited, until I saw the name Wilco. Had they chosen PMDG I would have probably popped a bottle of champagne and be annoying the neighbours in a few minutes time with some feverish WOOHOOs out on the street.

you know what Dre, you are right. Your post is a "non-NEW"... which sucks...Next FS new maybe ? lol. No offense

Out of all the companies they could have gotten, they picked Wilco...

Let's hope it doesn't end in tears. Dassault are not only famous for their jets, but also for their 3D software called Catia:

http://www.3ds.com/products/catia/

I have worked with them in the past and they are perfectionists. If Wilco drum up their usual Mickey-Mouse type aircraft, I suspect Daussault won't let the product out the door and will cancel the deal.

Oh no not Will"no"co.....I just can see where this is going..down the drain...will never ever again purchase anything from that developer again...so where can we sign a letter to DASSAULT against this?

I'll remain optimistic. Wilco will be directly representing Dassault with this addon, so it'll likely go through some sort of "quality control" and will be of a higher caliber than some of Wilco's previous releases.
The real aircraft manufacturer will be providing input it seems, and Dassault is a good one...

Hopefully in time they will see how Wilco is not up to 2013 standards.

But seriously.. Wilco? Come on people, they can't even make their CRJ work correctly!

Maybe Wilcopub can learn from Dassault about modeling.

I'd take this press release with a grain of salt. The way I read it, Wilco has approached Dassault seeking a license agreement to create the Falcon, and unlike some other aviation corporations(ie Gulfstream), has actually had some success. I'd be *very* surprised if Dassault actively sought a developer to model it's fleet... clever marketing on Wilco's part, more likely.

I'm very excited to see a bizjet being picked up by a payware developer for FSX, because there are sadly very few around. I am a little disappointed that it is Wilco though, for much the same reasons described by others.

Carenado should take the next step up into small jets, something classic like a Citation II or Learjet 25 would be wonderful.

I guess just hurry up and wait. I do not have high hopes for the aircraft, they completely butchered the CRJ NextGEn and their new 737 with winglets, so how in hades are we supposed to trust that this aircraft will be better?

Cool it, guys. Better Wilco than AFS-Design, First Class Simulations, Abacus or the like...
Think positive!

Well this will be a waste of an addon.
Wilco makes total crap.
And Dassault sucks for not doing their homework and picking one of the crappiest developers (if they did actually pick them and Wilco isn't pulling a fast one with a marketing ploy).

No need to say more...

A pity FSLabs didn't snag this one, that would have been ultra-sweet.

It can fly Dubai to Western Australia non-stop, not to mention from just about anywhere in Europe to just about anywhere in North America:

http://www.dassaultfalcon.com/en/Aircraft/Models/7X/Pages/overview.aspx

There was an absolutely fantastic freeware Dassault Falcon 50 available for FS2002:

http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?224563-The-Dassault-Falcon-50-Freeware-in-FSX-quot-The-Reborn-Legend-from-FS2002-quot-Thanks-Don!

It seems it was ported to FSX and that is now available here:

Well... they also could have chosed Abacus.... (LOL!)

IIRC Dassault and Dassault systemes are 2 seperate companies.

Just what happened to them recently? I used to remember how great the old Wilco 767 PIC for FS2000 was and they've literally fallen off a cliff quality-wise since then.

To all thanks for a great history lesson in
Wilco Pub. It's been one of those posts again.
SO essentially you are saying that the Dassault management are stupid and they did not research this. Did anyone read the part where it says "Wilco teams up with Dassault Aviation". Seems like they were invited by Dassault. I am Pretty sure Dassault will not allow anything to come out that would make themselves look bad. Or do you have some information to prove otherwise?

Dassault should have done its research. This statement is misleading at best:

"Wilco Publishing has released some of the best and most recognized add-ons for Microsoft's Flight Simulator franchise, including Airbus Series, 737 Pilot in Command, CRJ NextGen, E-Jets Series, and PC-based simulators such as Tower Simulator or Hangsim, the first hand-gliding simulation.
Wilco’s titles have received worldwide awards for e.g. Best Aircraft and Best Panel.

The E-Jets series and Tower simulator were both produced by Feelthere, but distributed through Wilco. Wilco had nothing to do with creating those. Even basic research would have reveled this.

I can always be surprised, but I'm not expecting much. Eaglesoft would have been the better choice.

The management at Dassault really should be reading this page a little. Just to understand how their rep has already been tainted by the word "wilco". I do hope this is all reconsidered at Dassault, because a crucial mistake has just been made.

I'd say that somebody did an incredible selling job on Dassault.

Why would Dassault invite Wilco? The actual monetary earnings would be absolute peanuts for them, at best they can use it as a marketing tool and I'm guessing that's the angle Wilco used - we'll make a very nice 7X for you and you can let all your potential customers fly it in Prepar3D.

I'm sure Wilco are going to receive another Best Aircraft award with this effort LOL

I'll give them a call tomorrow and rattle some cages ;-)
