Carenado back with more shots!

FSX/P3D. Say what you will about Carenado's G1000 all you want, I still want this airplane! It's just looks too damn good not to get it and honestly, I don't need the full functionality of the G1000 to still enjoy it. Yes, I do agree, fully working systems are always desired but not a deal breaker for an aircraft of this size. Anyway, at the very least, you can't say it don't look good! Beautiful bird!

Steam as the base model and the G1000 as an add-on, which is probably a pretty good plan by Carenado - at least a good way to judge the market's desire for their rendition of the Garmin.

Yeah, glad they did both models!

The problem is not "aircraft of this size," it's "aircraft of this price." The AAX is $40, sometimes much less on sale, and includes great graphics and fairly detailed systems including faithful MFD, PFD, FMS, etc. At Carenado it's the same price but they can't even bother to give us a G1000 that can do WAAS approaches, which frankly is a major point of having a glass cockpit. I could care less whether the plane models a static port blockage or hot start or fuel engine fire or electrical fire or emergency procedures or whatever, but at least give us a functioning G1000 which is necessary for all normal operations.

Also, wing flex.

I am with you DAndre - I just dont understand how someone can write off an entire add-on based on the depth of the G1000 alone. Dont get me wrong, I am not saying a full featured G1000 wouldn't be nice, but the overall merits of this add-on far exceed one trivial fault.

In fact, I dont understand this logic at all? We receive so few high-quality aircraft add-ons for FSX/P3D each year - the few that are released deserve to be cherished - warts and all (provided they deliver as advertised). I've never seen so many people who claim to love the hobby, but hate the manner in which its provided to them. Not to mention, Carenado is by far the best purveyor of high-quality GA/VFR aircraft in industry - and while there may be other developers out there who also deliver outstanding products, no one does it with the intensity and frequency as Carenado. Imagine a flight-sim world without them - you would have substantially fewer GA/VFR aircraft to choose from!

Now go buy a Carenado product...and stop your whining! Support our developers!!!!

Whats really sad is people lament about flight simulation being a dying hobby, yet at the same time rip great holes into anything that gets released?

With the attitude displayed by general users AND THE PEOPLE BEHIND THIS WEBSITE its not surprising to hear of developers packing up and leaving each week (yes they do)

You cant have continuous development AND continuous sniping

Think about what you say, and next time ask yourself "are you being a little premadonna? before you post or make comment

I think you are way off track here Timbo. But if you dont like this site and the resources it provdes, you dont have to visit.

So thats it then eh, your only purpose here is to slander, I suppose it goes hand-in-hand with the rather immature 'Insolent' thing?

I just dont get how you are a website about a hobby, yet you rip holes in it at any opportunity, from your comments above you clearly are not aware or see the damage you do

Sad really

I have no clue what you are going on about but why don't you just go elsewhere for your FS information. Clearly you dont like this blog, so just go. AirDailyX isnt for everybody. Its okay. Take care Timbo.

Just keep in mind we also aired your comments. Even if they are your negative opinions about us. Find another site that will go for that...

Nothing to see here said...

Perhaps they should do a "G1000 extended" addon at a later date (perhaps with the help of external partners) which would cover all of their G1000 equipped aircraft.

Shes looking great. Love that we have the option of a glass or steam gauge panel. An option I wish was available for the 182.

Carenado has come a long way since my first purchase of the Mooney. Can't wait for the B 1900 as well.

@ DAndre. This is why you guys rule. I am a total fanboy. Also question, what if I use the name "Anonymous"? In other words I select "reply as" --> "Name/URL" and type in "Anonymous." Does that count as using a name?

DAndre Newman said...

No. anything posted under the name anonymous will not be accepted.

But you could use anonymouse!

Imma steal this plane and fly it around Los Santos. Cause that's how I role.
