Carenado TBM850 Released!!

FSX/P3D. Well damn! Finally! So what kind of stupid idiot am i? So yesterday afternoon Carenado told me that it would be released in a few hours. And I got so damn excited that I stayed up till 1AM like a dumbass waiting for this only to wake up for work at 5am to see it still was not out. Am I the biggest dunce cap jackass on the internet or what?? Still on Starbucks to keep my ass awake while I supervise these C-Checks... I'll get our first look up in a couple hours. Let's just hope the frames are good!

Well, not sure if we are getting married just yet... Have to make sure she is going to perform well under my control if you know what I mean.... But i'm excited!

No go for me. Not until Carenado wises up and decides to implement updateable AIRACS and adds legitimate functionality (i.e. WAAS/LPV) will I purchase another carenado aircraft. At least the screenshots look good, even if the plane is not realistic avionics-wise...

Does it add LPV/WAAS capability? If not, it is just another waste of $40. It would be nice to see Carenado add some substance to the avionics, and get away from the crappy default. I don't need another pretty face in the hangar...

you people expect far too much from carenado...they will never have updateable navdata or WAAS ability...its not their field its not what they do

at least i will not buy any carenado planes untill they finally setup a damn paypal account...cant be too difficult

Okay a few bugs :
Sounds are delayed. When you reduce throttle, it takes a few second to adjust the sound.
When moving flaps, i don't hear any sound..
When i switch to the external view, bug on the propeller.
Still really promising. FPS really good yes.

10-4 DAndre! FPS are excellent on my system as well. Downloaded my copy during lunch today.

Installed and did a quick pattern flight around KBAZ - basically to see FPS and of course how the aircraft handles virtually. All thumbs up here. Have been studying the performance tables and normal procedures. Planning a first flight from KCRP to KADS after dinner tonight! I'm goosed about this airplane as much as you are and anyone else who has a love-jones for the TBM850!!

Submit those bugs to Carenado and they will probably try and fix those with a service pack.

Yes they usually respond quite quickly!

Hey guys, is there any functional LNAV and VNAV implementation in the G1000 modelled for this aircraft?

DAndre Newman said...

Yes

Isn't she GREAT Brian!!!!!

Totally agreed, please give us an updateable nav database with LPV/LP/WAAS capabilities. Would think this would be a good investment by Carenado as they are using G1000 units in many of their planes.
