Can you please make sure that when i click on the pic of the article whilst being on the main page, it will get me to the actual article instead of showing me the picture ?

Nice location and also interesting for non GA pilots, but for "high quality coverage at 7cm" the airport the apron looks very blur.

If you've ever seen the groundpoly from KLAX by FSDT(4096px), KPHX by FLightbeam or OMDB by FT, you'll agree.

Photo-scenery for apron, taxiways or runway can't compete visually with the methods used with the mentioned airport sceneries. For me it's a no go today.

All groundimages should look like ORBX did with CZST in FSX meanwhile. If i see sharp textures on buildings and then any blurry groundimagery, my eyes are irritated.

I actually prefer it the way it is. When I click on a pic with an iPhone, it shows me a larger image, that is as I would expect. Please do not change anything.

The method shown here seems to be the 'noise' method where the ground poly is simply a very transparent 'asphalt texture' placed on top of the photoreal to create more variation. I personally like this method, to me it's pleasing on the eye since it gives a lot of variation.
Onto the topic, this is an excellent scenery and I look forward to release. Congrats Jarrad :)

thank you for clarifying the design method, but i'm still more the chrisp textures guy:)

Thanks for the interest so far, and thanks Dom for the update :) Just to further clarify the PR technique I used at Broome, I've given a bit of an explanation in the ORBX preview thread (as linked at the top of this page). I have enormous respect for not only Russ' work at CZST, but also FT and FB for their individual work and style. The method I've used (I believe) is the best compromise of detail, character and performance for a medium sized airport such as Broome.

Cheers :)

more likely a compromise in effort:)

But it's ok, i purely give FTX developers a reason why i stopped purchasing such small airports with price of mega-airport. High quality textures don't hit performance with a modern gpu.
