MCA NA Airfields Exclusive 2!

FSX/P3D. Misha has sent over a slew of more exclusives of MCADesigns: North American Airfields vol.1. In these shots, we get more of an in depth look at the groundpoly. Quite crisp indeed! We still do not have a confirmed release date, but he is still working on a tweak here, little improvement there. That's what beta testing is all about. All in all you should be very pleased once it's released! Enjoy!

Beautiful Misha! I really like the atmosphere.
All the best for the final stage of development.

Would be nice to see you two perhaps work together on a project sometime in the future :)

Looks really great guys, the night lighting is spectacular and I'm loving the textures especially the concrete floors with oil spills ect. The only one thing I've really noticed is theirs no life animation. Nobody working around or something can't place my finger on it but it seems in need of something in motion. But over all spectacular job. Them texture are crazy nice.

Thank you for the compliments!
Unfortunately I still do not have the knowledge to create advanced animations nor do I have access to libraries that contain them (I have had to create my own libraries entirely)
However one feature which the airports do have which cannot be shown in the screenshots is birds tweeting and chirping in the background, it's not an animation but it adds the atmosphere.
I'll see if I can add some animated birds though.
Cheers,
Misha

Misha, can you perhaps include an AI traffic file so at least we will see some AI there? That will add some life...

Anonymous said...

Maybe AI traffic yes. Not a fan of certain other animations like PeopleFlow etc... They are not random enough and you know what and where you can expect to find them, and doing the same thing each time you fly into the airport. If you wait long enough, you notice the repeated cycle of animation. Kind of kills it, and not worth the performance hit. But yeah, AI traffic maybe (if easy to do?)

Since the runway is sloped there will be no AI since AI needs the whole airport to be flat to work properly.

Misha Cajic said...

Unfortunately I cannot put AI traffic since as one person stated the runways are sloped, if there is to be AI traffic the runways will have to be flat, and if I flatten them it will seriously affect the challenge and immersion of landing at the airports. Sorry guys :(
Next project I will try and look more into animations and see what I can do.

Ok, would rather have the challenge of sloped runways. Definitely!

Thats right! I forgot about that. Perhaps a couple statics for the future... Just so it doesnt feel too lonely...

Misha Cajic said...

Yes of course I will look into making statics :)

Great work Misha!
Just real want to say it again:
I am really looking very much foward to new releases now from MCA Designs.
And i very much enjoy the challenge and immersion of the "sloped runways" here in this first North America package.
A coorporation between 29Palms and MCA designs as mentioned above would sure be a great thing as well!
But in anyways and once again: Congratulations for Your first commercial top quality release!
Keep them comming ... and for as many regions and places at all over the globe as possible!
Cheers, Christoph
