The phrase "The moment you all have been waiting for" is a bit of a stretch.

BTW please include some Youtube videos as well, along with a FBW test in your review.

A stretch like your pants after dinner perhaps?

I know what I am talking about. The hits we have been getting on every post regarding the BlackBox A330 have been very considerable. We have our own methods of measuring market interest and there is quite a deal of interest in this product given the fact that to date, we don't have a proper A330 in the market.

What? The Wilco, CLS, and SimmerSky representations? Nope.

So not much of a stretch after all...

Another paid beta...

Pass, I haven't been waiting for this one either.

While there certainly is major demand for the A330 this product in its current unfinished alpha state is NOT a proper A330. I learned this lesson from the Airsimmer A320 and spending 45 Euros (!!) to be a beta tester in a very automated software-driven FBW Airbus is not something I look forward to. Automation in the FBW Airbus exists in all phases of flight, including hand flying (e.g. autotrim) and any bugs will cause major problems.

From a development standpoint they should at least finish the A320 before moving on to the A330, because they now have 2 unfinished products for sale. Developing an Airbus is a very difficult undertaking and I wouldn't be surprised if both projects end up getting delayed, and the customers will not know because BBS doesn't give release dates, only the promise that it will be finished some time in the future.

Agreed with 2x more comments above that I am reading - Dom, I don't feel your right 100% of the time. Your response seems somewhat defensive of criticism - the guys above have a point that your paying 45 for a BETA test, and the program A320 isn't even finished, so doesn't make sense to move on to the A330, since there is an unfinished product. The two chaps above have the right commentary and I concur.

DAndre Newman said...

Not Dom, D'Andre.

Sure everyone has a different opinion. And I am not saying I disagree. My point is, if there was such little interest, in this project, our tracking data would reflect that. In no way did I defend the product. You have to make sure you fully understand my point before you respond.

Besides this, we serve the community as we have always done. We have purchased and at the moment we are running tests of our own. We will have some results soon.

And we will be honest as we always are.

Alas, we live in a world when almost nobody including Captainsim, Virtavia, and now the (in)famous former PSS team (now disguised as Black Box Sim) and many, many other developers (even Microsoft itself!) do not want to LISTEN to their loyal customers and be as loyal to them as their clientele been for years. :((((

To work on a project as big as A330 itself means a big deal of RESPONSIBILITY, to say the least! But what do we see?!? Judging from a simple logical comparison I can see that while companies such as PMDG, Aerosoft, Majestic or even (the smaller scaled) A2A continue to refrain from giving out concrete release dates polishing their products to the bitter end, BBS releases 2 (likely unfinished) addons to the market asking for a greedy price of €45...

C'mon man, we're not that stupid anymore!!! :)

wideloadwhitford said...

They are making and selling the A32/30 for a reason, because they want to be the first to pop the cherry. I think Aerosoft said they wanted to make an A330, I bet when BBS heard that they quickly rushed to the drawing board and considering that the planes are almost identical in systems.

Come on guys, do you all really expect anything good from this company? Just look at their Facebook page, it seems as if it is run by little children, they complain and insist that if somebody asks for one simple request or release date they will blame the entire delay of the project on you. Criticism is something they can't accept either, no not BBS!

Just be patient and focus your time and money on something worth while. Don't fall victim to their scam at your expense.

Theres only one Airbus in town and thats Fslabs (-:

worst looking plane ever

Blackbox is laughable. They haven't even finished their A320 (which is terrible) and now they think they can drop an A330? Yeah right! How about you make the A320 good, and worth the outrageous amount of money you want for it, then make the A330. Don't even get me started on their customer service. They publicly blast people on facebook for the dumbest things. They act like a bunch of cry baby children when you say something is wrong with their product. They are just god awful. I'm sorry but I will never give them another dime of my money. I'll wait for FSLabs to complete the Airbus fam.

It will not be in town until it is in town.

well i dont understand how people are complaning about the Prologue version becaus if it´s like the privius A318-320 it is well flyeble and a joy to fly.. also 1 of the most fluid planes on the market so far i have many planes to set it up against.. and the 318-20 was a favor to fly im sadly not a airbus flyer that much as i use yoke and there for not the right sensation but, ofcause it´s a plane in progress but its far from a trouble maker as captainsim 777 it was un flyeble.. during the stages..

BBS A32/33 the aircraft is working beautifully dynamics are brilliant, apart from the extreior Texture quality of the aircraft and VCockpit and 2d Cockpit Texture quality this product can be compared to PMDG 737 in terms of realistic Functionality and flight dymanics the most realist climb to FL CRZ level ave experienced Frame Rates good, FMC is great although i wont ckompare it with PMDG's 737, infact the perfect comparism for this aircraft is the PMDG 747 with some more detailed repaints I will enjoy some flights

You hit the nail on the head! I agree to 100%!

which town?

Anonymous said...

You obviously have a copy to judge

Sorry ....mate don’t agree with the verbal diarrhea you just wrote...your experience may have been poor ..you no doubt have evidence....my experience has been positive...their plane is not complete...we know that, no one is busting people's gonads to buy an unfinished prologue product. Small developers may be required to take this approach in order to finance themselves. After all, this is a small market such. I am confident that FSLab will be a great product when it comes out, however the hysteria that comes out of the flight sim community against genuine developers, disguised as opinion is the most disappointing aspect of this hobby of ours. BBS is not perfect, its only a couple of guys making a living out of a niche market…..they aren’t Microsoft or some major software firm. So hey….get real people. BTW there Airbus 320 as a prologue product is very good.

I think what every one is saying is that we are all getting a little angry now with all these developers releasing paid beta's. CS did it with the unfinished 777 then released the L1011.
Now BBS have done it with an unfinished A320 they rush a A330 to the market, will either of these companies finish an addon or is this the new standard of quality in the FS world today?

Im just very glad that PMDG finished the NGX before they even think about releasing the 777 and yes when that is released you will know its 99.9% complete.

Such a shame the A330 has been rushed as it could have had so much more potential

This project is probably nothing more then a disguised version of their older A330 product that was released years back for FS2002/2004 ported over to fsx with some modifications (you can't tell me a small company like PSS/BlackBox have worked on two brand new airbus projects).

I was having a good look at some pictures, and the exterior model looks basic, no 3d windows, poor texturing. Then it's the same story for the virtual cockpit, poor textures, half finished systems. Why would you pay to aphla/beta test a half hearted product? True quality products from the top players such as PMDG don't get people to pay to test their products, instead they employ real life pilots, engineers and so forth to test and tweak their products.

Blackbox simulations Facebook page appears to be a page of children where people and the developers insist on trying to downplay and essentially slag off other developers (more notibaly, Aerosofts Airbus X extended product).

The airbus x extended is absolutely miles above any Blackbox product, with stunning visuals, great flight characteristics, and a great community + with the new 1.10 coming soon, it will be even more better.

Remember...Blackbox claimd their older company PSS went out of business due to "Piracy"...says it all really.

With all due respect DAndre, Blackbox sims have a long way to go until we start to eagerly await the message "The moment many of you have been waiting for just arrived".

The only developer that seem to be able to fill the PMDG shoes so far is Majestic software (yet to be proven though). Anything else appears like a waste of money. Put a "beta" tag on top and the "don't go there" light is starts shining even more.

I'm looking forward for your review though...

A340 and A380 beta coming soon from BBS LOL!!!

DAndre Newman said...

Everyone seems to think im backing BBS here. My words are purely based on data we collect from Google regarding each post we published. Its really funny. Every post we have written on the BBS A330 has gotten many hits. For example, this post has been read nearly 1,000 times in 15 hours. my guess is, everyone is more interested in my choice of words than the product itself.

So I must summise, all the high hits on the BBS posts on ADX are from people not interested in it? Huh. Okay then. Unsusal. But okay. One thing is sure, you all have something to say about it. Our partner Mark is putting together some of his findings about the "Beta Product" should be an interesting read.

Thomas Ruths A330 for FSX is free on Avsim.

Haha :D

1. A320 with CRT Displays.
2. A330 with CRT's.

and maybe next year an A380 with CRT's :D

Engine textures are also wrong.
This could be one of the best Airbuses but everyone makes bad products.

Let's see what FSlabs makes.

"... this product can be compared to PMDG 737 in terms of realistic Functionality and flight dymanics... "
Come on. Be serious a minute...

By any chance do you work for BlackBox? Or maybe they slipped you a free copy of the imaginary XTREME.

wideloadwhitford said...

You are correct Andre and I thank you for keeping this blog alive as much as you want to close it sometimes due to the nature of us posters. I guess we are just voicing our opinions since we cannot do it at the developer itself. Sucks when its a "My way or the highway company"

Just think, true followers of the forum will not single you out like that, maybe they just found your blog on google.

"My words are purely based on data we collect from Google regarding each post we published"

You should consider that not every click shows interest on the product. Some of us are just interested in the published feedback a business model like this provokes.

Thank you Whitford!

Again the flight sim community shows it true colours......I am independent of them

Just purchased, absolutely terrible!!!! SO many bugs in the system, virtual cockpit textures aren't great. More effort is needed!!! Do not purchase any of BBS's products until they decide to finish their current crappy a320 product and then this!!
