New Partnership, New Boeing 717...Sort of

FS9/FSX/P3D. FS Design Group and TFDi Design have officially established a mutual partnership. In doing so, the developers have further announced their first "joint" project....the Boeing 717! Although I believe this project was previously announced solely by TFDi Design this new partnership should significantly accelerate progress. What do you think about this announcement? I just hope this development does not interfere with FS Design Group's promising Sukhoi Superjet project. Enlargeable development shot inside.

Development shot of FS Design Group/TFDi Design Boeing 717:

Been begging for a 717 for years! Just an amazing airliner. Love flying them in Hawaii. It's a DC-9 on steroids with a great looking flight deck. Credit card ready.

I would rather have this done by Coolsky. Do offense but the company announcing the make is "unknown" to my standards, and this announcement might only turn the Douglas veterans Coolsky away from this airplane.

Coolsky says they wont do it. PMDG says they wont do it. They both say there is no market for it. Yet somehow there was a market for the J41 and MD-11?

My point is, it's a fantastic aircraft that people will love to fly; if done correctly. And if I know FS developers, once one does a 717, three more will also do 717s.

I believe that there will be a large market for nicely done 717.

Majority of simmers is flying on short distances - this aircraft will be perfect

PMDG admitted to that the MD-11 was an sales disappointment & from now on they'll be doing only "airliners that u see on your local airport", J41 was a testbed for NGX...since PMDG's boss was an RW chief pilot with +3500 o hrs on the J41..so there really wasn't a market for neither of them!

there is no more affiliation between FSDG and TFDi. But FSDG has decided to steal TFDi's ideas and designs and go on with "their own" 717
