BluePrint is back!! YES!!

FS9/FSX. I am so excited to tell you all that BluePrint Simulations is back! As the title says on their website: Advanced Airport Sceneries! Yeah! I was shocked when they stopped giving scenery updates. They used to do a new scenery every 2 days and they seemed to stop. But with their new website and the announcement that they are working on a major LAX upgrade, they will make the high payware quality upgrade for FREE!! I am so supper excited!! Blueprint's quality is unparalleled to any other development team in the business and way better than FlyTampa!!

Am I the only one who cannot see what's so special about this scenery? None extreme details and the textures at Drzewiecki Design sceneries are way better than this?

well, well, well, irony is not your strong side it seems

Lets not lie here (even with sarcasm), BP are not worthy of payware, im sorry but its money wasted, seriously.....i hadnt noticed they were gone and im sure i wont notice their future projects...the FS payware league is elite and Bp are sat waaaaaaaaayyyyyy down the line. FT, FSDT, Simwings, UK2000, FSDG, Orbx, Flightbeam & 29 Palms.......This here is the "Champions League" of payware developers

you haven't mentioned Drzewiecki Design

Blueprint is very necessary and extremely important to the flight simulation community. How else could one gauge how stupid some simmers are?

And, frankly, we're jealous we didn't have the idea first. How to make money without really trying. Blueprint shows us how. Valuable, that.

Now--and this may just be a rumour--I hear the major KLAX upgrade is to ship you a box of sand and the Hollywood sign made out of popsicle sticks...

Now I'm off to start a company where, for $47 an hour I'll fly your NGX for you when your wife/husband won't let you get to the computer...

O go hug a tree and quit talking nonsense...how can you justify selling a basic product for x amount of money when you can get miles better for the same price elsewhere!? ....KLAX for example?!

Its like selling an old 2004 graphics card against a graphics card of today at the same price!....BPs products look more basic than the very first "British Airports" series published by Just Flight for FS2002...And even those looked better than BP...its FACT! This is all

agreed! after their next few releases, they will be very well remembered.

Actually I am noticing a bully-like nature creeping into this blog, its not the innocent (and mildly amusing/irritating) 'insolence' as Dom used to do it, but plain and simple old schoolyard bullying, while it might be good to have a laugh at someone elses expense... it may also be construed as defamation in some countries or worse.

Dont get me wrong... this blog is a breath of fresh air after the staleness of Flightsim and AVSIM which are just 'old boys clubs' were if you dont jump when they say your banned forever

I'm just concerned this place will also turn out a bit like this, i.e get on the wrong side of the editors and your product gets pissed on.

Just saying...

Yes I understand your position on this and you do present a very valid point. With this topic at least. But in my opinion, with blueprints position on how they market their products and their sheer attitude, i have no respect for them. Besides that this post is more of a joke than anything else. And as jokes go, someone will always find it funny and someone will always be offended. But i do appreciate your opinion and i respect your position so we wont do it too often :)

This is a very strange blog. Is it editorial or news? Some products get a second-coming type trumpeting while others a ho-hum "what do you think". Then we have this extreme for Blueprint. I think I'm losing interest.

DAndre Newman said...

Ulitimately, everyone has a different opinion of us. But the bottom line is, we are huge fans of FS and as there are 4 of us, each of us have different styles and opinions. We do as we wish. If you loose interest, we will be sorry to see you go, but we will continue to dare to be different.

Which is also why we publish our readers comments even if they dont like how we do things.

There are a couple of things which can be said in favor of Blueprint.

While other developers are busy makn\ing the 27th version of Dublin, Blueprint is actually making some major airports, like Houston. I'm sorry, but this is a major hub for United, and many of their flights to the Carribean and South America originate there. Yet, other developers figure that we need yet another version of some obscure airport no one cares about.

So in many cases, Blueprint is the only game in town, unless one would prefer to use the default airports.

Even where there is another version, Blueprint is the low cost alternative. Yes, you get what you pay for. But there are times when I just want a decent runway and terminal, and all of the outbuildings are of little interest to me. In those cases, I am happy to pay half of what a high detailed scenery would cost.

DAndre - thanks for listening to the above post. I also was feeling like this crossed a line - I'm a frequent reader of the blog and enjoy the news and update items way more than negative op-ed pieces.

None of us are required to purchase blueprint products, and I feel they're pretty up front with their offerings including screenshots and lists of features or lack-thereof.

DAndre Newman said...

Very, very true! And our primary purpose of this blog is news. That is always our focus. As for everything else we do, that's just the icing on the cake or the crap you stepped in.

But there is one thing you can be sure of, some readers will always feel that we have crossed the line in some facet or other. As you clearly see here, some agree with and others don't. We are full of opinions and even encourage the opinions of our readers. That's what makes us different then the other sites that ban users for their opinions if they are not liked.

In this case, I actually never directly said anything negative about Blueprint. I simply expressed my joke in a very sarcastic manner. I will joke from time to time. But if you don't like it, and think I am an ass for doing it, i'll always let you express that too. :)
