And....Released!

FSX. Just Flight has released the Lockheed L-1011 Tristar package! The aircraft is quite detailed with the inclusion of a fully functional INS system and engineers panel. 25 paint schemes are included with several military variations. Looking froward to some user feedback on this one! Take a look inside for some project screenshots.

I bought firsrt thing, but as above posted, not worth 45.... don't get me wrong but this is not 20 dollar less than a PMDG.. This is why justflight seems to fail... Same as CLS the over bloat than can't produce.... Simply check out their forums and you'll easily see the failures. I will say this though that this bird far exceeds anything ever released by them though.

Cheers Guys... Now you know the scoop. My advice wait for a sale.

What about systems? I suppose engine start = ctrl + e?

Is a TCAS included for later operations?

Captain Sim is better.

Beautiful as always CS but consistent forum communication and poor flight models will likely keep me away from this one. Still waiting on a update on the 731/2/2ADV flight model(s).

It's a bit strange that JF didn't include a Cathay Pacific livery, given that airline at one point operated the largest fleet of Tristars in the world. It's out of my price range for now anyway, especially for a 'lite' aircraft.

I don't have much faith in CS either, their classic offerings at v1.0 still leaves a lot to be desired, especially with bugs, incomplete systems and flight modelling. Simulating the complex Direct Lift Control (DLC) system will be a real challenge for them.

FYI: DLC in a nutshell is a system that activates on final approach, where movements on the yoke translates to variable spoiler deployment instead of changing the pitch via the elevators. This allows the pilot to control the descent rate without changing the pitch angle. It was a brilliant system, but held back because Lockheed wouldn't license the patents to its competitors.

Lest we forget. The JF Tristar is the long-range, short bodied Tristar -500, not the "standard" -1 to -250 models, that WERE used by both Eastern and Cathey Pacific. Hence no EAL or CP IS realistic, and makes perfect sense.

The CS version is the -1, which could be easily "morphed" into the other "standard" version, as they were dimensionally identical.

Heck, I may buy both!

That makes sense! Thanks.

well i havent got much time in this plane but i see that the price is a bit higher then i mean it´s worth if it had a fmc or something it might be more fair as gps can be used but no option to edit during the flight as well the HSI dosent show where you are acording the GPS track..

The verry good thing is if you like i use Goflight MCP it is fully working ( able to use all rotation buttons and in some way like default plane)

on the good side i so far have high FPS and thats good.. but i miss a fmc or such to use it as a good choise
