AES 2.30 released!

FS9/FSX. The mastermind we know as Oliver Pabst has released yet another updated version to his famous AES. This single product has changed the way the world uses FS and every update is crucial! So if you have been wondering why the latest updates have been so few and far in-between, it's because he has been working on new features. Check out what 2.30 has in store for us! Oh and yes, boarding passengers is in the works!

Whats new in AES 2.30:
  • When using the Followme, only the marshaller/dockingsystem of the destination Gate is active
  • Pushback switchable between "nose" and "tail" direction
  • New Neoplan Bus
  • New Fueltruck for apron positions
  • new staff for Cleaning, Water, Fuel and Loading vehicles
The loading process and entering passengers is not yet finished and will follow later.

Yes this is a revolutionary product, in contrast to the other GSX which in now way is similar to AES. GSX doesn't allow for movable jetways..... And without that there is no glory.

Finally after all these announcements he finally is capable of adding new things... Sorry but GSX is the top standard on "around-the-airplane-work" :)

Are there any screenshots of the new stuff?

I un-installed GSX, I had too many problems with addon manager. That thing is like a virus.

Those are the same screen shots he's being using for 2 years. Wheres the new stuff? This guy doesn't help himself sell anything. AES marketing is awful.

My friend, please go to Aerosoft.com, click forum, you will see a topic called: Airport Enhancement Services then a sub topic called: AES 2.30 released

There you will find your new images.

Hence check the AES topic.

It is wonderful to see such continues ideas coming to life within FSX. It allows the development bar to be raised with each new release.

However GSX is "pay once" and can work in most default, freeware and some payware (Orbx) sceneries, which uses default jetways. It can also work with airports where there are no jetways, like those small Greek holiday airports which Aerosoft likes to publish. Compare that with AES which can only be used with a limited number of supported airports and requires payment to activate each airport, AKA the 'razor blades' sales model.

IMO both have good points and bad points, for example the vehicles look and animate much better with GSX, but AES has many more user repaints for each ground handling company. Despite this I think competition is good because imagine if GSX didn't exist then I don't think Oliver Pabst would've upped his game with new AES features with better looking models and animations.

The fact that he is actually working on boarding passengers, not just speculation, is more than exciting. Honestly, I think that with passengers AES might/will surpass GSX easily. Exciting developments!
