The transition from the aiport scenery to default terrain is terrible. I don't understand why certain devs insist in not doin at least the airport surroundings.
In my opinion an absolute NO GO within the payware-sector, although I own nearly all other of their sceneries - especially the Azores. The airports itself are not bad but the surroundings (if no other addon available...) would prevent me from flying there twice.
Thank you all for your comments. I understand the critics are in the constructive way and we thank you for that.
I would just like to add that we DID work the whole island. Here is the default and our version of the island.
Load up your LPHR, take a look at the top-down view, then disable it in the library to get the same views as these screenshots: Default http://www.tropicalsim.net/screens/default_island.jpg Tropicalsim http://www.tropicalsim.net/screens/tsim_island.jpg
The landclass was created based on Corine landcover data and I do think myself that it should not be as "sandy" as it looks with too much seasonal variation.
Anyway... we will make tweaks to the landclass to make the whole island more "green".
We will also color edit both the airport and city areas to have a seamless transition from photoreal>landclass so it doesn't stand out, someone above mentioned this and I agree 100%
The photoreal question was talked about previously. There are not many companies that work with images from the Azores. The few that done, most of the images contains lots of cloud cover due to the nature and location of the islands.
Another note: We have received a new batch of photos from the remodeled control tower, so the control tower will too be updated.

Thank's!
Horta Airport and city look's great, but the landclass look's very bad, what you think Mason?
Yes you are right. Too bad the designer did not work on the whole island.
Much nicer to fly over a photoreal or land classes island.

True. What do you think of talking to TropicalSim to remake the island with a better landclass?

I search some satellite images. Only some pay services has good image, maybe need to pay a lot of money...
Doesn't stop them from doing a decent landclass.
Yes, it's true, but TropicalSim work's with FSX default landclass...
I know they do currently, but nothing is stopping them from doing a custom one around their airports like other devs do.

Why is the southeast corner of the island different and not blended with the rest of the island?
