Majestic Q-400 status update!

FSX/P3D. What is likely to be the most sought after aircraft this year, Majestic has just released a status update of the progress of the Q-400's beta. There is a lot of good news regarding the progress of the beta and some very interesting news as well. But what most of you likely want to know besides the release date is: How much? Well we have the estimated prices and let me tell you. This baby isn't going to come cheap!

Statement from Majestic:

"Our beta testers have been very active and efficient recently and we are very grateful for that. Good news: they have tested our Dash 8 extensively. Bad news: they found a lot of bugs. More good news: none of them is critical, most are quickly fixable.

So where is the project now? All the Pilot version features are implemented and working (correctly to some degree, according to bug reports). Documentation is ready, although some tutorials are yet to be finished.

We have to set up a product support forum, do some work on the licencing server and - of course - correct the bugs. After that, another beta will roll out and hopefully will become our release candidate after another testing sprint.

We are now able to give preliminary estimation of the price. The Pilot version will cost 49.95€, the PRO and Training versions - respectively 74.95€ and 149.95€. Cross-version upgrades are possible for the price difference plus 20€ additional fee."

Ouch!

Pricing isn't too bad for what will likely be a very good simulation of the Q400 and good complex turboprops are rare in FSX. Compared to their old FS9 Q300 the price is reasonable although the 20EUR admin fee for an upgrade seems excessive (10EUR would be better)

I'll probably get the pro edition. This and the PMDG 777 will likely be my big FS purchases for the first half of this year.

I agree the 20€ fee for an upgrade seems a little steep...

€75 is on a par with PMDG. Not cheap, but the question is always going to be what you get for the cash...

I would be interested to know how it performs in direct comparison to the NGX, as that is my yardstick...

These are russian developers right? Yeah steep price with substandard quality is par for the course.

ridiculous 20e for an upgrade...they will loose costumers to PMDG777 as it looks now the race is on between Q400 pro & PMDG777..whoever gets first wins:)

What a shame. I'd be throwing money away on systems I'll never use. Wish someone would do a simpler Q400 and SF340...

Here we go again pay in advance for a product to be complete.
No one want a CTRL E simulation, so you will endup to pay 75 and pray that this project will see the light bug free.
The idea of shered cockpit and advance FMC and for final in the menu failure, what you choose?
At list they should already alpha testing those future, so we know that it will become reality soon.
Coding sharing cockpit is not easy at all and very difficult to archive.

Well, maybe YOU don't want simpler systems, that doesn't mean everyone has time for it...wish I were a kid again.

You will have YOUR CTRL E system at a FAIR price so don't bother US
