I'm excited but concerned on this one. With the level of detail provide in current and the up and coming aircraft, will our PCs be able to manage the load. With the latest (FTX EU) I have trouble flying over the pond to or bypassing this region. Over EU I get the dreaded OOM message.
I am hoping it will be released by region like Europe package or Asia package or options to disable the regions you don't normally visit in FS. But I think this will be by far be better than UT and GE although I am unsure if this is will work alone side those other products. And performance is a concern, but it's a very much needed product! In FSX, I don't fly outside the PNW!!!
the link don't work
Not sure about this one. John wrote there will be textures only. So the only way is to made it compatible to UT and meshes. Let`s hope the best...
I hope we'll see more of Asia e.g. Middle East, South Asia, SE Asia, East Asia, Siberia etc. Very under-served area in FS due to commercial considerations and lack of data I guess.
Price is prohibitive to most, and IMHO the last few FTX releases (especially England) have lowered in quality. I will not be spending 150 Euros on this one I'm afraid.
easy to install, and downloadable
Must be able to install outside FSX main folder or drive.
Not much happening if this is the lead story for three months.
