Bad answer, Captain !

The triple seven exterior model is great, the aircraft has been awaited for a long time. So, yes, thanks Captain Sim. But, simmers are just paying a deposit for a non-finished product.  In this reply, on C.S. forum today, a staff replies that, somehow we are lucky to buy an exterior model for free. I don't know if this answer is a clumsiness or a disgrace... You to judge !

Simmer : "I think it is a legitimated question ,since we bought half a product which is equipped with an old fashioned panel. "  (the question was about when will be released....)

Captain Sim : " You have bought finished Exterior Model at a reasonable price which entitles you for future discount to complete '777 Captain', so basically you have got exterior for free Please stay tuned for news. "

Good point - getting 10 bucks off means you've paid the same as everyone else, not free at all. Why take the risk? Previous history says the VC model will be excellent, but not worth the risk with no screenshots and no timeline and no pricing. I like CS FSX products, but they don't do themselves any favours do they?

I can only assume a minor change in tense would make the intent clear: So instead of this phrase: "so basically you have got exterior for free" But this one instead: "so basically you [WILL] have got exterior for free" The only way that would work is if current external model purchasers will be able to buy the rest of the model for the complete product's price MINUS twice the cost of the current external model. So if the current model costs 10 MegaBucks and the final product were to cost 50 MegaBucks, then the only way to have "got exterior for free" would be for current purchasers to pay 30 MegaBucks to complete the model. IF that is the case, then it appears - to me - to be a good deal. Time will tell....

CS have hidden nothing when they sold the exterior model. I didn't buy the B-52 until it came with a VC, same applies here. But what's the bought it for FREE nonsense? The customer service can leave a lot to be desired, but developers too get sick of when will it be ready questions. PMDG have had a lot of abuse when the 737 didn't appear in Jan 2011 - I think the message to all is - Buyer beware.
