Now that's a lot of buildings!

FSX. City sceneries are really something that is becoming a regular part of airport sceneries. Rather they be packaged with the airports from developers or sold as seperate products, one thing is clear, people want them. It seems the next developer to take on such a task is Lebor Simulations with the city that has been coined the Paris of the Middle East. Beirut! Now that's a lot of buildings! I do hope it get's completed!

Paris of the middle east..?

If you never heard that, you are likely way too young to understand it. But, try this: Google: "Paris of the Middle East" and see what city the search result returns...

Paris of Orient not Paris of the Middle East.

DAndre Newman said...

Wrong. This is not the Orient.

I agree Paris of the Orient can refer to Shangai , Paris of the middle east is Beirut.

Finally! Someone who knows what they are talking about...

Actually it depends on time frame.

Hong kong had been called like that long ago.
Hannoi had been too. :-)

Dont know why they called them as Paris.

I'm certainly one of those you speak of DAndre, ready to snap up interesting city (or natural wonder area) sceneries. But I was just wondering whether you knew, is this 2D photoscenery or...something more? The Paris of the Middle East would indeed make an interesting and welcome addition for me if its not just 2D, daytime-only scenery. Either way, bring on more of the World's cities I say :-) Keep 'em comin'!

Cheers,
sid

I can confirm from a Lebanese that Beirut is often referred to as "Paris of the Middle East."

The picture looks nice!
