Orbx - Payware Airports for FTX Global

FSX/P3D. John Venema has stated the following - "We are also working on full payware airports made specifically for FTX Global although those are not our main focus.". This certainly opens up a lot of possibilities! So which airports would you like Orbx to develop worldwide?

Keep in mind however, as John stated, this is not their main focus. I am very interested in the type of airports Orbx will develop specifically for FTX Global, small, medium, large scale? Looking forward to further information.

See John's quote on page 12 of the official announcement thread - click here

Agreed. Africa, India, the Middle East, Asia, and South America could use better coverage.

"WHAT ABOUT AFRICA ??????!". Unfortunately, there is a lack of airports for Africa and I do believe that they due for some as well as other places. No question, however, it was put the point that most developers only consider airports that they regard as profitable. The airport location is all about where the majority of pilots will fly and purchase. Profitability is a main concern to a developer that has wages to pay and and overhead to maintain. Still does make it fair, just the way it is.

Producing large airports has never been an Orbx forte, it has been proven that they are FPS hogs and users have issues using them. Most likely they will do GA airports around the world?

CA/US, airports. White Horse, with/and including the ERA HQ and stations and also Buffalo Airways HQ and stations.

Not true. YMML runs smooth as silk on my PC, as does KJAC, Hervey Bay, KWYS, and YSCB all of which can take the NGX. The only one of theirs which needs features turned off with their control panel is YBBN but it still looks amazing even with eye candy off.

The only reason they stopped mega airports for a few years is that they took long to do at the level of detail they were satisfied with as a minimum.

But KJAC was a recent NGX one and Jarrad is also working on YBRM Broome Intl which takes heavies also.

One can only hope that the eastern part of the world will be populated just as well as the western side by such decorated developers. I'd love to see more developments in the Middle East, India and Far East.

Yes but with that ugly blurry ground, no gmax poly like the majors FT, FB

Well, Cape Town and Johannesburg could use some work. Asian airports should be a priority since widebody jets are being developed.
