More Aerosoft Twin Otter X!

FSX. Aerosoft has posted some new preview shots of their upcoming Twin Otter. Although still a work in progress most rivets are now inserted into the model. Looks good to me so far... Take a look at some more preview captures inside.

See all the shots on page 2 of the dedicated preview thread over at the Aerosoft forums - click here

A shade bake around the exterior would go a long way, but otherwise looking promising!

Would be interested to see a video which gives me an overall impression of system quality.
By the way, it would be a shame to see the propeller circular area as a flat disc in external view.

As usual, if you want to give us a quality product and dont know how to do that - look to A2A accusim. Since years they show constantly how to make top simulations.

in post #989 just before the screenshots, I see Mathijs Kok estimates they need around eight more weeks. I was hoping for a release this month, but I'd rather they get it right than they rush it.

It is looking good, though!

Indeed it's looking good. But I doubt they (AS) will put too much efforts into simulating the turboprop engines operations...

I thought Aerosoft does allresdy sell a Twin Otter ? Is this an update or a complete new product ?

All new product!

This is an entire new developement.

The turboprop modelling goes rather deep i.e
-Custom calculation of torque and ITT
-Failures due to vertorque and overtemp.
-Flameouts due to ice ingestion
-Optional startlocks for floatversions
-All engine run-up checks can be done as per real checklist i.e Autofeather test, Prop governor test, bet range test etc..

Structural icing will also be featured, thus we have developed a functional de-ice system (de-icing boots, inertial seperators and inlet de-icers).
The Autopilot replicates the Collins AP-106 with functions like MDA, GA, ALT ALERT, IAS HOLD, AP Manual mode as well as the ususal HDG, NAV (both VOR's & GPS), ALT hold modes and APPR.

Thanks for the headsup Finn. That's entirely different story. This plane will fall into the category - "consider buying" ;)

I posted that I was looking forwards to this and it never got approved, so it looks like AirdialyX only publishes comments being critical, I think I have just uncovered your game AirdailyX, shame on you

Nope, we don't censor comments (within reason of course). If the above noted comment wasn’t published that’s strange but it’s certainly not part of any “game”. Glad you’re looking forward to the Twin Otter, we are too!

Well you must have deleted it buddy.

With all due respect Mr./Ms. Anonymous, how exactly does deleting your comment benefit AirDailyX? We get countless positive and negative comments every day and we publish them all. You are free to think as you will; but your accusation makes no sense to me.
