Airdailyx tries to post 4 to 6 posts each day. We need to be creative while other blogs are just toying with copy-paste on our informations. And trying to be creative, sometimes, we are wrong, i am wrong about some opinions. FS Dreamteam is taking a great deal of communicating on their projects. Thanks to them. Mea culpa.

Answer from Umberto to my post "I dreamed of Vancouver"
" I'm surely not telling you we spent 2 days to produce THAT screenshot, which is the reason why it doesn't have textures, and then someone might still mistakenly think we haven't made any textures, so we are only at 30% work done...as explained (quite clearly) on our forum, we are using a new development method, which result in hand-made textures looking very bad if used as-is. If we posted a work-in progress screenshot with textures, they would look bad, because that's not how they are intended to be used but, the way they are intended to be used DOES require losing lots of time assembling everything and rendering, for the only purpose of taking a good-looking screenshot. All work that will be wasted, since it should be ideally done only ONCE. As I've said, DO NOT assume ANYTHING on the project status, based on what you know and what is shown on that rendering and how much time other developers usually take from the first naked rendering to the final product. We are covering new grounds here so, every past assumption is simply wrong.

Currently this blog ruined other Flightsim blogs and AirDaily kicked off some writers. Other blogs are more creative compared to AirDailyX.
Really? Could you possibly be any more vague?
wow weird comment anon o_O
Hi,
when I read the first lines in this post, I did not know, whether I should be disappointed, angry or just smile and forget about it. I decided to be angry and consider this post as an offence.
Who are you, to ride such an attack against all(!) fellow editors? Who is toying around with the "unique" information you gather and publish it on your blog? Name them, if you are serious and honest!!!
I striktly reject such accusations. You must be very convinced, that all others "stare" at your work and have nothing else in mind, as to copy you?
Where are your copies from? Are you transfering tons of pictures from other forums/blogs into yours and present them as "your" news?
Now, I try not to be too harsh with you. Look in your archives. Several times I have expressed my appreciation for the very good job you make.
But this offence against all voluntary writers in the flight-simming community defenitely goes too far.
Regards, Klaus
Sorry, my "home-address" disappeared. It is "simFlight.de".
Klaus
Well sir, it's not my fault if you feel personaly concerns about this. And frankly, i did not think of SIm-flight when i said that. I was thinking about some blogs who just copy our posts without any link or sourcing us with very tiny characters.
I don't care anymore of attacks and insults.
We are certainly not the only ones to take screenshots from developers sites and it certainly not a fraud.
But we are among the very few - to dare write our opinions, ideas, critics.
Now, mister, i am working 6 to 10 hours on this blog every week. We have invented a new style. And you can't have this.
Dom Mason
If I'am seeing very bad insults from this FlightSim Blog "AirDailyX" am going to hire a attorney.
Klaus am 100% sure and support your answer, plus AirDailyX does copy pictures from FlightSim Companies without there Permission I think this is going into a illegal and a hate behavior. AirDailyX is going to be removed soon!
By the way its your fault for writing news that insults authors you should be ashamed of yourself for writing this, what type of journalist are you? Your making other people badly and down! This should be denounced!
Just want to leave a quick response to Mr. "Anon" who is leaving all the negative comments about ADX.
Clearly you are very bitter against us. What I fail to understand is, if ADX is such a horrible source for simulation news, why do you continue to visit every day? Why spend your time writing us? Do we take photos from developer sites? Well yes we do. And if you are thinking we are doing this for our own benefit then consider this: Although we are very small compared to other news sites and we are only a staff of 2 people, AirDailyX is visited on a average on 3,500 times a day. That's nearly 100,000 times a month over a million hits a year. That is quite a bit of extra exposure for developers not to mention all the developers who either ASK us to publish information about their products which we happily do, but the emails we get from developers thanking us for covering their products.
And yes there are paid ads here. With that money, we purchase all the products used in our reviews (which are becoming quite popular) and we purchase comics (also very popular) which cost us about $100 bucks a pop. We are not in this business to make a profit. We are here because we love this hobby as much as our visitors and we want to be a valuable resource for them. So far, with the relationships we have built with developers, publishers, and readers, I think we are doing an okay job. And as for the accusation of others stealing our work, I have personally found my reviews posted on other news sites. So yes, Dom is very much correct on that. As for you, please don't come back. If you don't like something, don't consume it. And for the record, if any developer takes issue with us posting news on their projects and using their posted screenshots, let us know and we will happily cease and desist.
Now back to the news!
Ciao!!
Please keep in mind English is a very difficult language for Dom and sometimes his opinions can be taken the wrong way. He actually meant to compliment the developer while also making a joke. I know my friend so I know what he meant. If you try to look at his original comment as a joke, then it will make since. We are close with Umberto and we would never insult him and his team. Just think about that.
And we thank Umberto for clearing things up a bit.
I've been in the FS game a very long time--since FS came on diskettes--and I have seen many things. Some good, some not so good. I've also seen feuds and other silly garbage that had nothing to with FS--rather it was about little egos buzzing like flies at a rotten piece of liver.
AirDailyX is not perfect--but it is very much better than most of what is on the net in terms of FS journalism. It's human. There are screw-ups--and these guys admit it. That alone gets my respect.
When they write about an addon, for example, you can bet they've used it, played with it to where they can give you an honest opinion. They don't write what are basically advertisements for developers--which is exactly what some of the bigger FS information houses do. Avsim reviews are, today, nearly useless.
As for development/pre-release news--of course the sources are not theirs originally when it comes to images. Duh. But the writing is most certainly theirs. And they are also most certainly correct that their writing has shown up, with little or no credit, elsewhere.
But. I don't think these guys are going anywhere. It is my advice, then, that you spend the money you have earmarked for a lawyer on a psychologist instead. It might help you avoid what will certainly be an ulcer if you keep this up. Should you find a cheap enough psychologist you might even invite Klaus to go with you!
Psychologist oh really?, well I studied psychology for 9 months. I already have evidence either Dominique or DAndre Newman wrote this comment and I truly believe one of you wrote this! Plus you took your time to write this.
And we have evidence that you are a 10-year-old. Tell that to your lawyer too. You are done here.
Cheers! ;)
