Virtualcol Jetstream: Our own screenshots

FS9/FSX. I must say, even though they are very simplistic aircraft, the quality overall of Virtualcol's prop aircraft are well above freeware and reasonably priced. I should also note that this aircraft is on sale at a 30% discount until April 30, 2012. I took this advantage and I must say, the price to quality ratio is very reasonable.

I have put together a nice collection of screenshots to give you a more in depth idea of the overall look of the aircraft. I will also note, this is not a simple ctrl+E to get the engines started. You do have to go though the proper motions to get it flying. And the sounds? They are right on!
I should also note that these screens are taken in FS9 against the beautiful backdrop of Houte Normandie. What an amazing scenery. I'm also working on a review on this masterpiece along with LatinVFR's Caracas. Stay tuned for those. In the mean time, here are some shots of the Jetstream!! Like?? I do!!
I choose to feature the Eastern livery in my shots because, well... I just love those Eastern colors! The aircraft lighting and strobes look very good as well. Nothing was left out there.
The model comes with a fully clickable 2D and virtual cockpit which may look simple at first glance, but honestly, what more would you need here?

The overhead panel is fully clickable and includes all you would find in the actual aircraft. Again, not bad for the price at a 30% discount.
A full virtual cabin is also included. There is also an expansion pack (free) that includes business aircraft with a full business interior and 2 medical aircraft complete with medical interiors.
And on to more external views. The model looks very good! ADX approves! Again, good quality for the value.

I also wanted to mention the Houte Normandie scenery from VFR France. NEVER, EVER, in FS9 have I seen so MUCH autogen! It covers such a HUGE area and has no impact of frames. At least, it had no impact on MY frames. Super impressive!! This extends for miles and miles!

There are also a large number of liveries available for this aircraft as well. I included the majority of liveries included but not all of them. There is something in here for everyone from almost any region. Should keep most of you busy! There is also a paintkit available on the Virtualcol website.

I will be clear on what I do happen to find most annoying about this and the Cessna from Virtualcol. And that is the installation and activation process. After installing you will be then directed to the Virtualcol website where you have to either create an account (for new users) or sign into your existing account. You then have to register the product and then download a file which will activate the gauges and systems. A bit complicated in my opinion. And should they go out of business I am not sure how the product would be activated for future re-installs...

Overall, I like the aircraft and it's a nice little gem for FS9ners. For FSX however, I stick to my larger PMDG version.

Cheers!

I recently downloaded and activiated this product. What I did during activation was save the activiation file to my hard drive so that if I needed it in the future I would have it. If I remember correctly it was explained some where on the page. but my page might have been different because it was spanish by default of where i live and my spanish might not be the best so i might have read it wrong, either way I have the file saved. LOL.
