"You must truly be an idiot to think that. It is easily of the best freeware sceneries available."
Jonathan, is that you? You really are an angry fellow, aren't you? No worries, mate--let me help you.
Let me (they've been mentioned in this blog, actually) refer you to LH Simulations as an example of what is really good freeware.
They've been developing their craft over the last 3 years or so--and it really shows. Guess what--the scenery actually works!! You might learn something there.
The first thing you might learn is that they behave as professionals, even though until now they have not been asking for payment.
For one thing, they do not create rental car signs in their sceneries that read "Absolutely no Loitering or Bird/Plane Watching Because We Are Douchebags Who Think Photographers Are Terrorists".
Is this part of some private war you're having with Avis at YVR, Jonathan? Did they try to shoo you away one afternoon because you were trying to climb onto their roof with your little cellphone camera?
Did you not think anyone would notice?
It's truly unfortunate that far too many freeware developers have the nasty attitude 'I'll take 7 years write a few lines of wonky code, toss it up to Avsim, and wait for the people to tell me how great I am.' Then if anyone dares suggest improvements be made--well. Let the gnashing of teeth begin.
Tsk, tsk, tsk.
You really do need to explore this hobby in a lot more depth so that you have a better understanding of what 'one of the best' is, my friend.
Come on.. please don't make a direct comment if you are not shure of who you are talking to ! lol Although i agree with you... Jonathan's work is great but with limited technics in some part of the airport, since he started it 3 years ago...

Does nothing for me. It looks unrealistic.
Didn't like it at LAX or DFW either.
I hope they do YVR for FS9 (an outside shot apparently) as the freeware YVR released earlier this year is rubbish.
FS9 is done now. UPGRADE!!
