And it will be 2nd quarter 2012.

FS9/FSX. Strong words from the man himself. Papa Mir, the mastermind behind FlightBeam Studios has been on hiatus for a while bringing Baby Mir into the world. He has announced he is back on track for a 2nd quarter 2012 release time period. He has also emphasized the new KPHX project is already more extensive than that of his KSFOX project.

According to Mir, KPHX will be delivered with an unprecedented amount of photorealistic detail at terminals, never seen before by other developers.
Now I do recall the one and only screenshot released last year of KPHX that made everyone's jaws drop including mine. And based on that one picture, it's very clear we are in for a super treat. The scenery will also include high definition textures twice to three times the detail of KSFOX as well as installation options to fit your preferences so you will be able to disable static aircraft, cars, dynamic jetways, etc.
Mir also states his new concept will target more use of the video card thus reducing the workload from the CPU which will result in better performance.
More good news is the FSX version will undergo the back port process to FS9 upon completion. However, FS9 fans may have to wait longer for this version as Mir is already foreseeing a complex back port process.
I am always happy to see developers looking into new concepts to improve the flight simulation experience. We will be following Mir very closely on this one. Expect to see some new screenshots soon.
Hey Mir, on behalf of AirDailyX, Dominic, and myself, congratulations dad!! We wish you and your family all the very best!
Cheers!

I think the night appearance of Flightbeam KSFO is the best you can achieve within the FSX platform. I don't think it is possible to improve it further as it already looks completely fotorealistic.
