ADX Weekly Recap.

It's been quite an unusual busy week for us at AirDailyX but don't worry! We are here! We have some new FS comics on the way; we are discussing ways to improve the blog, as well as working on the ADX Facebook page. In the meantime, here is a bit of news that went down this past week as we kick back into action to start a new week!

France VFR released Haute Normandy VFR for FSX.

This scenery includes their new revolutionary 3D technology. Hundreds of thousands of buildings, VFR landmarks, and entire cities have been modeled incorporating extremely dense vegetation while maintaining optimum fluidity.

 Bay Tower Studio released their RV-7/7A aircraft for FSX

This is a project is one we have been waiting for quite some time. I for one am quite exited to head out and get this one! Here is an excerpt from the BTS site: …this add-on has been developed with RV builders, owners, and hardcore sim-pilots in mind. BlueSkyScenery released Santa Barbara (KSBA) and the San Rafael Wilderness for FS9 and FSX.

The Santa Barbara area covers a total of 5075 sq km. There are separate high resolution versions for FS9 and FSX. The resolution of up to 1 m/pix brings you razor-sharp images even near the ground. Best enjoyed in low and slow operations! The FSX version also contains a 10 m high resolution elevation mesh. It looks quite good! Alabeo released their Sukhoi SU-26 for FSX.

The new FSX developer Alabeo is on a roll with their acrobatic line of aircraft. This week they released their Sukhoi SU-26 for FSX. Features include: Blank textures for creating your own designs, custom smoke effects, high quality 3D model textures and sounds. As well as a slew of free liveries after purchase! OryxSim released Eindhoven X.

Compatible with FS2004, FSX, and Prepar3D, OryxSim released Eindhoven which is located in the Dutch province of Noord-Brabant, is an essential airport for the region. The airport is also a base for Ryanair. Some features include: highly detailed rendition of all areas of Eindhoven airport, custom ground textures incl. seasonal textures, corrected roads, custom night lighting, and custom Vehicles. The scenery also features volumetric grass for FSX and Prepar3D Only. Now my opinion, it has an air of freeware quality. However for the low price of 7.99EU it won't exactly break your wallet either. Pacific Islands Sim released Postcard Puerto Vallarta.

Now this is an airport highly anticipated by us at AirDailyX. Finally we have it in our hands. Now, I won't say too much about it as Dom has done a review. (see below) but here are a few of its features: Accurate airport terminal buildings, photoreal coverage of Banderas Bay/Valley area including Old Town Puerto Vallarta and Nuevo Vallarta Nayarit district, custom runway and ground/apron textured polygons with appropriate markings, custom vegetation, 3D grass, and objects and so, so much more! EdGeneer Cox released Saratoga County Airport for FS9.

A growing trend among developers is the higher level of freeware sceneries coming to market and ED doesn't disappoint! I am in the process of downloading the scenery myself. This is one FS9ners should not miss! All objects are fully designed and completely redone in Gmax using high resolution 32 bit photoreal textures. Optional DXT3 textures included. Also includes new AFCAD file, more accurate airport grounds perimeter, satellite photoreal grounds, custom taxiways, taxi signs and taxi lights, area roads, animated hangar doors, and near area landclass. Some GA AI traffic tracks included with this release, AFCAD also designed to support general AI. Rwy12 objects (Lars Extra Object Library) required for a few static parking lot cars. All textures mipmapped for performance.
