Orbx Fall City : hot test !

FSX. Fall City. NatureFlow premiere. 9th payware scenery for NA BLUE PNW.

ORBX FALL CITY 1WA6

Installation : Very easy / just check that NA PNW.004 patch is installed too.
Compressed file : 637 MB
Framerate : absolutely smooth in the airfield. Very friendly around the scenery.
Remark : Medium-High end machines for better comfort.
On Airdailyx usual low-mid end machine (Quad core 2,33 GHz), the scenery works great although i had to optimize my configuration to avoid some blurries. On low end machines, FSX settings must be optimized to adapt scenery/textures/ refreshing rates. See Orbx threads about this.

So, here it is, NatureFlow. That was a real challenge and this will probably remain as an outstanding  date in FS history. But the visual effects, falling leaves and swinging branches are far from beeing totally satisfactory. First, from what i heard, Orbx will probably release a small patch to fix some minor bugs. But most of all, pilots would like to see branches swinging effect following wind direction.
In real life, VFR, bush pilots are still looking at trees before taking-off.
The scenery itself is rather large and include Fall City center town, the private airfield, Snowqualmie falls and if i am not mistaken, the vicinity of Snoqualmie too. This is the seventh Orbx payware in Washington State but we add the freeware developed by OZx, Vashon and Bowerman, the number of flights is limitless.

The bad :

* No AI flying aircrafts.

* Didn't see a lof of PeoPleFlow. Of course, it's a small private runway but maybe the developer could have added some more in the vicinity...

* Some visual "discomfort" for low-end processors, depending on the level of settings you want.

The good :

* A new promising technology, NatureFlow.

* Great textures and seasonal textures. Incredible quality of AI static aircrafts.

* Despite NatureFlow's presence, great FPS on take-off and landing.

Snowqualmie falls

Orbx static aircrafts objects. So real...

Seasonal textures and trees : february.
