Latin VFR case : an interesting comment

Just a small post to invite you to read the last comment about Latin VFR. And this comment is very logical and pertinent. And the purpose here is not to diminish anyone fault.

About Latin VFR textured that have been copied from Fly Tampa.

" Yes, yes, true. But there is another viewpoint of this. Long ago, I mean long ago, the major developers should have set up a common texture bank. Not to be used by anyone, but to share between professional designer in order to spare 50-60% of development time. All would have benefited from this. But they rather spend month on designing something, that has already been done 12 times... silly... "

"Its a ridiculous idea. Why would any of the few people with the talent to create good airports, Orbx, FSDT, Flytampa etc, want to give their work away to their competitors for free? "

Those who make quality will share this in a texture bank, this is just nonsense, meaningless in my eyes. Maybe an idea that "some" manufacturers learn how to make quality instead!!

It's still a debate.
According to me, Dom Mason, this totally makes sense. And it's not too late for Flight sim designers to find some basic deal about it. I mean, a deal about commun materials. Not prices...
