Anti-piracy fight : a short focus on France

France lawyer voted the Hadopi law last year to fight against piracy. We just received a key figure on this policy.

French Hadopi is a law and an Authority (70 staffs) dedicated to anti-piracy on internet. Basically, Hadopi works closely with internet providers (who are entitled to find evidences of piracy) and then, send warnings by email. Today, in June 2011, the Authority already sent 400 000 warnings by email. In case of repeated offence, Hadopy send a second warning and eventually, can prosecute people on justice. At the end of this year, maybe, dozens of persons might be prosecuted ultimately but Hadopi wants to educate first. A TV campaign will be launched.
And what the hell this article in a Fligh Sim's blog ? Well, several editors/designers regularly state that they cannot make a scenery in a country where piracy is a wide spread habit. In Europe, latin countries are usually concerned.

Don't forget that most piracy is done in Russia and China, countries that laugh about upholding international laws and where we cannot prosecute, even IF we should have money to do so.
