The free airfield of Vashon island

FSX. I continued to investigate on these Orbx addons. And what happened ? I simply discovered that all the american airfields developed until now are concentrated in the region of Seattle in NA Blue Pacific Northwest product. This was totally unclear to me as Orbx also developed two others NA Blue, Pacific fljords and Montain Rockies. So for VFR flights, the place is finally fantastic.../..

As soon as i finally got it, i downloaded Vashon island, a freeware that contains two cute airfields and bought Concrete muni. (Concrete is the name of the city. Than can be totally unclear for non american people). Since then, i even had an eye on Darrington... No to mention that Cushman Meadows will be a good addition too. That's it, i am addicted !

I planned several flights from Orcas KORS toward Concrete and Vashon and the trip usually took 15-25 min. (perfect timing for me). I remind that this place has everything a good VFR pilot can wish ; montains, islands, a few fjords, rivers, waterfalls... plus the hundred of airfields around Seattle city and suburb.

The good :

* Orbx is constantly upgrading these sceneries with his latest features ; TextureFlow, PeopleFlow, soon LeavesFlow etc.. (last week, releases of Darrington V.1.1. and Concrete muni. V.1.1. with PeopleFlow).

* There are now a dozen of detailed airfields around Seattle.

The bad :

* Expensive price. For some of us maybe, its now or never : there is a special discount at 19 $ (16 €) until april 17. But normally, these addons are at 30 $, too expensive maybe for a simple addon of 25-30 square km. In flight sim market, these products are just luxury.
