FS9/FSX. Mohammad has delivered a few more in-development renders of his King Abdolaziz International Airport in development. It's going to be nice having an airport closer to Dubai. Last night I did a flight from DXB-CDG and fell asleep mid way through. Needless to say, I am looking forward to a shorter hop in the region. Will be payware.

Let there be night light!
FS9/FSX/XPL. Our boys at LHSimulations have progressed to the night lighting stages and so far so good! This project is expected to be one of the most detailed airports to date. There is still a very large portion of the airport we have not seen yet and soon, AirDailyX will bring you exclusives. If you haven't already, read our LHSim reviews then check out the LHSim home page for their other airport products. They are amazing!

Remember Take on Helicopters? Ultra flop.
[NEWS BRIEF] So yeah, ToH was a platform that had major potential. I even bought it myself only to kill it from my HD a week later. No internal VC functionality. It was a crap game. But wait! What's this? In a press release earlier today, Area51 announced they are developing their own helicopter game. Could this be the kind of simulation helicopter game we have been wanting? After all, Area51 is known for some very high quality whirlybirds. We will follow it's development. Here is the first in-game image:

Shenzhen Bao'an baby!
FSX. Just yesterday, we got you a sneak peak of Shenzhen in development by SkySoft Simulation. Today, we get you a more in-depth look at the work in progress and can also determine that it seems the project will not be for FS9 but appears to be the first airport from SkySoft solely in development for FSX. Sad. But as this developer seems to have no interest in AES, I don't plan on purchasing anymore of his products. Too bad, as they are quite good.

RAZBAM - Harier GR.7/GR.9 released!
FSX. We have been following developments a bit lightly from Razbam. Honestly, the quality is nearly quite up to par with MilViz. Today they just released their latest project: the Harier GR.7/GR.9. There is also a nice video with this baby in action! And yes, she has fully operational vectorial thrust! We are going to start following them a bit more closely in the future. Have a look!

Vegas in FS9 never looked better!
FS9. The Italian designer Andrea Bertolucci is doing an amazing job on his City Center project. In fact, the work is going so well and fast paced, he decided to go ahead and model not only the entire strip, but a few station hotels south of LAS . Finally, after years, Las Vegas is getting proper respect in FS9 and in my opinion, the buildings have a higher level of detail than their Aerosoft FSX counterpart. The project will be payware, and I am just fine with that! Let's just hope FSDT makes the LAS upgrade for FS9 as well.

ASK 21 : another glimpse
FSX. Joachim Schweigler has just posted a new glimpse of its ASK21 glider. Remember when you will watch it, that this is stil a work in progress (WIP).
Anyway, glad to see that some developers are still posting previews on Aerosoft forum. We are in mid-March and very few* new projects have been launched for FS9/X/P3D. It's so easier to use previous photos materials and make some conversion products to X-Plane. Short term cash. Hmm good (*). But i will always prefer the guys who have long term projects and are investing in human resources.
Good luck and good night. (*) I had scruples...

Have we Outgrown Flight Simulator?
[EDITORIAL/RANT] Over the years I’ve watched the slow progression of development advancements relating to flight simulation add-ons. It started with a little extra detail here, then a little more animated movement there, next some added dynamic randomness, then on, and on, and on... So what’s the problem with innovation you ask? Well, nothing in principal. The problem is that I think developers have outgrown the current flight simulation platforms, namely FSX.

Update on Bodo Scenery.
FSX/P3D. This is a scenery that I am highly looking forward to. The details and quality look amazing but sadly the beta will not be released in April. The developer encountered some problems between the standard mesh and third party mesh. As a result, the developer is considering creating 100% custom mesh for the entire scenery area to avoid making major compromises that affect the realism of the Bodø scenery. We'll keep up to date on his progress...

It all started with a little French kid and a dream...
And by kid, I mean a grown ass man. And by French, I mean French. really French. And by dream, I mean a hobby. A lousy one too... Anyway, today we want to say thanks. Thanks to Dom for starting this blog and not quitting, to our supporters who have stuck with us and encouraged us, to the FS development teams who work hard to bring us all what we love, and to last but not least, our readers. Without you all, this blog would be dead. This week, AirDailyX surpassed 2,000,000 page views. Among all we get wrong, we must be doing something right. So again, thanks for visiting us every day. The number may be small, but it means so much to us as we really devote much time to this little venture and this number encourages us to keep going. And keep going we will! Welcome to AirDailyX, we are just getting started!
