[Developer Interview] Is it Sunday already? Well here is the interview I have been wanting to conduct since the summer of last year and it's a damn good thing I didn't. Because if I had, I would have missed out on the many exciting new developments in production that our readers and myself are just dying to know about. I am of course talking about Military Visualizations. This is a development company that has drastically changed its military embedded identity into something all FS enthusiasts and commercial armchair pilots alike can enjoy. Lajes : Our own screenshots

FSX/P3D (FS9 coming next week). So this is it. The last airport from the Tropical Sim Azores islands project. Lajes LPLA is a military airport with a long runway (more than 10,700 feet) and a modern civilian terminal. The Brazilian team (Bilbao, Antigua, Aruba..Azores..) has designed all the buildings around the airport and approximately 20 % of the island (airport surroundings). Although some ground textures are questionnable in term of resolution, terminals are highly detailed and the scenery included hundreds of houses and buildings.

Last pictures before release

FSX/P3D. Carenado has posted the last pictures from the Cessna Stationair CT206 H project. 

505 units of the T206H are still flying around world. I have just one regret about this bird : apparently no amphibian version included.

2.0 South Dakota released!

FSX/P3D. PC Aviator has just released MegaSceneryEarth 2.0 South Dakota complete! Fly the entire state - BORDER to BORDER - of South Dakota in photoreal detail. South Dakota is 77,212 square miles in size and has 160 airports. You'll see everything that you see in South Dakota in real life in the scenery. Imagery is clear and crisp 50 cm source throughout for a stunningly realistic scenery.

Drzewiecki NY! One more!

FS9/FSX/P3D. Stan has shown another shot of NY along with a comment of the progress: "We will make a configuration program (or at least config options) so any PC would be able to run this smoothly. Obviously at max sliders and all files enabled with highest texture resolution, frames will drop and textures loading time will be significant. No miracles. The goal would be to find the best individual settings and we will do our best to fully prepare this product for that. Currently working on autogen, helipads and still planting remaining buildings."

News from Japan?

FSX. Quite difficult to understand Technobrain projects and releases. Thanks to a friend who has sent us an email, the Japanese team has apparently released Tokyo Haneda RJTT on several places including Amazon.jp. But we are not communicating the link now. We need to make some checks as we don't see any payment page in English.. And another scoop ?? read here !

Video - Aerosoft Airbux X Engine Start

FSX/P3D. Joshua Che., one of the Aerosoft Airbus X 318/319 developers has posted a new video this morning. The video offers an engine start preview from the perspective of the instrument panel. Obviously, the project is making some strides forward. Video link inside.

A comic is... a comic

 

Behind the story. I posted a few days ago another comic, figuring two well known companies. We have immediately received unformal complaining remarks from their CEOS. And, logically i suppose, we have decided to remove it. For the first time since the foundation of the blog.

I have reworked it with Taloux, our drawer. And here it is. Don't even ask for explanations. there is none. If this one has to be removed too, i will definitely resign from this blog.

POSKY 787 has finally! Arrived!!

FS9/FSX. Well not exactly Posky... Most of you should remember Hiroshi Igami and Yosuke Ube of Project Opensky. Well after the split and subsequent demise of Posky, these guys continued progress of their 787 project. We at ADX were quite aware that the project was still in progress but had very little info about it. The new development team is called: TDS Tenkuu Developers Studio which is translated to mean
"Heaven's sky." Does this thing have a VC? We will try to get you a First Look as soon as we can.

Carenado Stationair: more shots!

FSX/P3D. Carnedo has released new screenshots of their Stationair CT206H. Virtual cockpit, night lights, reflections, it all looks good baby! We expect release very soon!

Aerosoft Norilsk X Released!

FSX/P3D. Aerosoft has released Norilsk X and it looks superb! This remote airport is located in Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia. Moreover, Norilsk is the second largest city north of the Arctic Circle. Quite a different and unique destination. Take a look inside for some official release images.

FTX Global : "beta built..next week"

FSX/P3D. While posting these new shots from various places, including Doha here, John Venema has just stated : "We hope we have a beta built ready for testing by the end of next week".

FSX/P3D. Tipella CBB7, the British-Columbian airfield, is almost ready. And these new shots really give another idea of the scenery. Gorgeous and... free.

FSX. The vivid OZx community has released another freeware package, ten new stripes and airports for Australia, including some that might interest you for Orbx Broome.

MilViz 732 on short final!

FSX/P3D. Get ready classic pilots! According to MilViz today, the 737 is on short final which could mean we just might be flying the friendly skies of a bygone era very soon! We will stay on top of the beta announcements closely and keep you up to date as the 732 get's closer. Go Milviz go!

Challenger is airborne!

FSX. Well it seems that even in 2013, several years since that old FS2002 Posky, we still can't get a reasonable damn CRJ going. And no... that Feelthere/Wilco thing doesn't... doesn't count. We pray for Digital Aviation/Aerosoft or AWG Simulations to deliver, but in the mean time, the CRJ's baby predecessor is sneaking up very quietly and today, she got her first flight into the sim with full textures. Next up is the VC and systems. We are watching with humble interest!

Flysimware C195 released!

FSX. Flysimware has just released their C195 Businessliner. This classic aircraft from the late 1940s features two custom panels, ground servicing features, a float-equipped version, and four paint schemes. Get yours today!

Oh my God!! NY has NEVER looked better!

FS9/FSX/P3D. Jaw hits floor, drool everywhere, slipped in it, fell, bumped my head, passed out, woke up in drool, looked at NY shots again, drooled, slipped, hit floor, passed out, repeat. It can be difficult to tell just how a good 3DS or GMAX render look until they are actually implemented into the simulation platform. Now yes, it was quite obvious that the Drzewiecki Design Manhattan X scenery (the largest and most accurate city scenery ever taken on) would be amazing. But now, after actually seeing the models surfacing in the SIM, to say this looks amazing would be like saying the PMDG 777 looks sort of okay... major understatements...So with this said: jaw hits floor, slip in drool, pass out...

Bonners Ferry : 20 new shots

FSX/P3D. Alex Goff has posted many more screenshots of Bonners Ferry 65S, Idaho. As stated in Orbx updated roadmap, this scenery will be available next month.

PMDG shaken things up!

FSX. Yeah, yeah we were off on our projected release date...  Sheesh... In a big move today, Precision Manuals Design Group has unleashed a tidal wave of information regarding the current status of the 777-200LR/F virtual cockpit. This aircraft is likely to be the most sought after bird since the NGX. Many were not pleased with the CS variant and choose to hold out. Well, it looks like your patience is paying off for damn sure! Besides, this is the closest many of you will EVER come to actually flying the 777 so might as be as real as possible right? Damn right! After all, this is PMDG baby, these guys wrote the book of realistic flight simulation!

FSX/P3D. OOhhh now that's nice baby! Vertigo is showing off some very promising VC shots of their C2a Greyhound currently in development. Now that I have seen these, i'm actually looking quite forward to taking this one for a spin in P3D! Here are the latest!

Revised 2013 Orbx Product Roadmap!!

FSX/P3D. Orbx has posted an updated product roadmap outlining upcoming releases month by month for the remainder of 2013. In my opinion, there is some very exciting stuff ahead. FS9/FSX/P3D. And now the first renders of JFK are starting to surface. We have already seen many renders of La Guardia, Newark, Teterboro, and Manhattan respectively. The Guys at Drzewiecki are working tirelessly this year in an effort to bring more scenery products to market that any other developer in the business. And they are high in quality too! FSX. Paulo Ricardo's next scenery will be Fortaleza in the North-East of Brazil. It will include Pinto Martins SBFZ Intl airport. If you already know Paulo's mega scenery Rio - Sao Paulo, imagine the amount of détails in this scenery...

FS9/FSX/P3D. Finally we can spill the beans! Yes, as many of you have already guessed, FSDG Copenhagen is now officially a FlyTampa product. And personally, I could not be more pleased. The FSDG guys are very much still on board with the project, but now we will get it FT texture-bake style! So i'm sure many of you will be happy! Orbx to Stop Developing UK Airports?

FSX/P3D. Wow, it appears as if Orbx UK airfields are not selling sufficiently to justify the development costs. John Venema of Orbx has disclosed this information in a recent forum thread stating "We won't keep developing UK airports if customers aren't buying in the volume required to justify continued development.". Although several UK airports are already in development - future projects are now uncertain. Focus is now shifting towards NA, NZ, AU, and FTX Global airports. See John's full statement inside.

LatinVFR MIA V2 Exclusive!

FS9/FSX/P3D. Without a doubt, this V2 is displaying a huge difference over the previous version. I am personally impressed with just how well the team is improving visual techniques with each release. This airport coupled with Miami CityX, and FTX Global, is going to make for a very realistic approach to MIA! Looking great!
