FlightsimSoft.. at last some news !

[Utilities]. Topcat ? Rings a bell ? The editor of the fuel and performance planner was working on its promising Professional flight planner X (PFPX) but no more news for months. Well, Christian Grill has updated its website 2 days ago and announced : "PFPX is virtually finished now".

Professional Flight Planner X is an ambitious utility that will/might cover all the preflight and cockpit preparation steps, from weather and navigational datas to fuel and performances. A must have for many different platforms, including of course, FS9, FSX and P3D.

We are now confident that this product will be finally released. Just remember that these great tools are only effective if aircraft developers (or real manufacturers) share their datas and cooperate. It was not always the case with Topcat. If you want to discover these kind of tools, Topcat will greatly enhance your experience.

If it was finished, we would be able to buy it.
Since we can't, I would say it's not finished yet.

This same developer also said it would be available "shortly" after christmas.
I wouldn't call 4 months after the fact "shortly".

I would call 4 months pretty short, considering if one was to compare it to 2 years. It takes time to prepare a website and shop system for release. Just because the software is finished doesn't mean the back-end system is. Oh, and what about writing documentation or making an installer?

The developer said it was finished, not me.

People, go to the forums! There where news every day from (official) beta testers and from the forum admin. The DEV team is not present but they work hard on that. Stay sure they will release it and finally gives a pearl to the FS world!
